The final chapter of Wakhumbata/Wana Do theatre

Just got it from the radio Getrude Kamkwatira is no more, its very sad that the dreams of Du Chisiza jnr will surely end with her. I doubt if Khumbo and Nkhalo can pick it up from where their brother left and considering they were not in terms with Getrude over the groups name Wakhumbata, oooh i feel sad for Malawi's english drama groups are we going to have any now?

sure nanzikambe is great ... but if you're looking for Du's legacy, look no further than the talented Thlupego Chisiza, his son. check out his company Lions Theatre .. carrying on the tradition of Wakhumbata, creating theatre with a punch. he trained with nanzikambe and has just been to the UK to perform. Gertrude Webster Kamkwatira's death was a tragedy, but Malawian theatre is not dead ....
