FORMER (MW) HE"s ADOPTED CHIRDREN

The world media has been awash with news regarding Madona and young David of late.


i do remember sometime back during the UDF administration, the former HE adopted close to ten orphaned chirdren and were being housed at Sanjika palace according to the media then.


The issue of Madona and young David has got me thinking about the wherebouts of these chirdren. i mean, like, are they all surviving? does the former HE still support them? where are they housed now (perhaps BCA)? etc. Since some of them were in thier teens, we should assume they finished secondary school; how many of them have made it to colleges/universities?


My assumption is that since at one time or another they were being housed at Sanjika, they directly or indirectly were being supported by the people of Malawi through taxes. As such i believe the local media have denied the tax payers a chance for the progress of these adopted chirdren by not furnishing us with the any news regarding them todate.


Any views, guidance, clarification, inside knowledge on the matter?

In all honesty, I think this is a private matter. The same applies to Madonna's adoption of David. 


To date, Atcheya is the kindest politician Malawi has ever had. Ayatollah is not only saying this because Atcheya happens to be a devout religious person who has devoted most of his life to kind deeds for the poor. There are a whole bunch of stories on how Atcheya would always pull out a bunch of his personal money to help those in need. The story does not stop there, Atcheya adopted and supported many kids without even blowing a trumpet. Unlike Kamuzu, who looked down upon Malawians, Atcheya is indeed one of us. His only mistake was sad term and his attempts to try and erase Kamuzu's name from the history of Malawi.


May the good Allah bless Atcheya's life and his soul protect. LONG LIVE ATCHEYA!!!!!

The last I heard about dem kidz is that they were sent back to their relatives  though Muluzi continued to support them.Apparently two of them were caught akumutambila and then they had some mysterious deaths among the staff members at Sanjika and some of these kids owned up 2 b responsible.

from what i heard ,the dude was just doing any chick he liked and he Had so many children all over the place ..how sure are we kuti those ten childern were not his own to begin with .maybe he took them in to avoid scandal from their mothers '

Surely some of us dont mind if our Tax money was being used for a good cause. and we care less about the whereabouts of these young folks.

..and why should the society be concerned with the wherebouts of young David (the arrival in uk, the gifts,the school attending). why should he be treated differently? is it because he was adopted by a star? were they not all adopted beacause they were orphans?....

Same orphanage David came from.


Now guys where were these human rights guys when the kid was in Kapoloma suffering the trauma that is alleged to have happened to her? Can we rule out molestation? This girl needs some serious attention and psychological help.

Shows how full of crap civil rights people can be. Nobody accused the ex-prez of using orphans as a PR tool or questioned his ability to raise them properly. I wonder how much has been done to protect Malawian adoptees from their own; Malawians. Did Muluzi follow adoption procedure to the letter (e.g. the 18mth observation period the H.rights p'ple were so pissed off about Madonna skipping)?
