How long can it take for the American government to clean up a city? Two years, three  years or maybe four years. Trash pick up is still once every 10 days or so, and the flies are getting obnoxious in the city. As the richest country in the world America is doing nothing for New Orleans when it comes to rebuilding. Is it because most of the residents are African Americans? Or is it because they fear that the City will go through the same anytime? We saw how divided Americans can be sometimes, when the disaster happened. The government was reluctant and Black Americans celebrities had to do something about it. Thailand-based groups actively involved in that country’s recovery process, visited New Orleans in June and told Reuters they were surprised at the lack of progress the United States had made in the reconstruction effort. The tsunami region maintains an online database where progress reports, charts, maps and more are automatically updated and can be viewed. To people’s surprise Lackland Air force “Training” facility was in its full function just two days later! Military, is that what American government care about?
