Should the parliamentalians tore apart the budget like they are doing now? When they are not economic experts and have shoddy financial status in the society?

could you be clear with what exactly you are bringing up?

But going off what I've understood to be a topic concerning the Budget, I'll say that the notion of thinking long term seems to be something alien in parliamentary decision making. Instead of setting in motion an extensive plan, members are too concerned about how there's no ambulance in Machinga, persumably the complaint of a constituent. Its these little problems that are given the most attention, instead of focusing on what system could be implemented for the distribution of basic healthcare.

That is so true; And they expect to be paid at the same levels as the judiciary. What for?

The way parliament is going on with its business is not on sight these for example

  1. The information budget will not be passed unless the minister mrs kaliati apologises to a member of parliament for MCP should the whole budget be at the mercy of what ever beef they have for each other?

  2. They just argue fro the sake of it asking why a ministrie allocation is hiked from last years dont they look at inflation?

  3. Ny understanding of the budget figures is that they are made basing on what the HOD come up with not by the politicians leading the ministry if anything they should quiz the ministry on the failures to implement agreed to stuff

  4. There are several stooges i know who were no good at nothing but want to champion the budget when they have no clue what implications it might bring on the economy, they think they are punishing the presidents party. Taking a leaf out of this you know that most companies in malawi are folding bcoz of this attitude if the workers dont like a boss they sabotage by go-slow and all that stuff thinking if a certain man takes over he will make it work but believe you me if you spoil it say in two months it doesnt take another two months to fix.

Now the civil service hasnt been paid yet sick, no vision watsoever i think the minimum qualification for an MP should go to at least a degree of any discipline

you're absolutely right. Malawians need qualified people with fine judgment representing their constituencies. And the HOD does come up with the budget figures, I think what I said in the latter could have been implied otherwise. Hopefully, all will be resolved, and this childishness that is observed will be delt with.
