It may not necessarily mean that there has been an increase in the number of fatalities. It may be that now more people have resorted to putting death announcements on Malawiana. I note that some people only contribute in that section.

Humbwa's right, I suspect there are simply more death 'announcements' rather 'deaths'. It might have something to do with more people being aware of the website and using it, especially among the emigrant Malawian community (which has also grown over the years).

iiiiiii!!!!!! Abale? are you implying that those who only post in the announcement section are dull? Dont you think it might be because the topics brought forward are lame or wont help them in any case? As to many pple dying now is because (i think) if the ones dying are known to us, we say many pple are dying but if we dont know them we dont count; wHat one doesn't know doesn't exist.....
