Kofi is just the puppet for the west, the show becomes more interesting when the puppet masters are Bush and Blair The organisation is becoming useless since its function is for the good of America. It doesn’t care any more if people’s rights are being violated. And for the Bs to the power 2, shame on you guys, next time make sure that all the Mics are off!

what any man would do to survive. His job is not to "survive" but to head the UN. Unlike most of you lot I'm old enough to remember Butrous Ghali. He never took any crap from the west and was quick to condemn hypocrisy.

Dont ignore the fact that the world then was not advanced,we had less weapons and shallow headed presidents and dictatorship was the norm.

Do you see him 'heading' anything higher than where he is? What do you think will happen to him if he changes? 'Unlike most of you lot'!!!! Most pple remember but we can only talk because it doesnt affect anything nor change will come cos of our opinions. Lets not go as far back as Butrous Ghali; we have Mugabe as a recent example and need i say whats going on now? For once i agree with Holla,...he is a bum licker.

In support of our African brother. The superpowers you say he is supporting would rather have him out of office. Not because he is a weakling as you portray him here, but he has blocked their way too many a time in the past.

The current situation in the Middle East was in a way unavoidable what with weak governments whose efforts and decisions on peace deals are always overridden by 'unofficial' armed groups. All Kofi can do is plead that both sides in the conflict are mindful of the plight of civilians and their infrastructure.

What would you have done if you were in his shoes? Send in a peacekeeping force? My theory is that even a UN peacekeeping force in the area would be a sitting target and if this were the case again the blame would be on Kofi. The next UN SG is likely to come out of the US, unfortunately that is the only time that people will appreciate Kofi's diplomacy but then that will be too late.
