How on earth can he see the deal when he/she is the one in charge of racism.The only thing is to make sure that at one time these western chaps has to pay.

Indeed Most Muslims are black people according to the oxford dictionary. It says that a black person is any-one who is non other than white, chinese, Arabs, Malays, colored, red indians just to mention a few. since most of the Muslims are non white that makes them black. The question is, we are all blacks right ? what if the perpetrators of racism are of Arab descent? what does that makes us. and what if a white British like Yusuf Islam is a Muslim, does he voluntaliry becomes Black? Those whites who claim that they have once been victims of racism should tell that to the infants, i won`t buy it! i have seen it here in RSA, this is where rainbow racism exits!

man,you really need to reconsult your dictionary,a black man is an african with black skin just like me.you sound like some asian dude with malawian roots,well that dont make you black.you are a malawian of asian discent end of.what abre is talking about is stereotype.just like any hiphop kid is regarded as thuggish and gangster.there are black arabs in somalia,what are you on about?the issue here is how asian muslim youths who are fighting the so called jihad have taken over the whole negativity once engulfed black youths.anyone who is anti white receives this kind of negativity.

try to read steve bikos biography,i understand you are in jo'burg,in his court memoirs he argues with the white settlers on the word black.maybe it will give you a clear and straight forward definition,we are a race of black people that dont include asians or jews or colombians.we cannot be a mish mash.try to check your dictionary once again.

In some societies, they just distinguish between black and white so ur either white or non-white. black has different definitions. but back to the topic at hand.... islam is a religion and black is a color. there are black muslims, white muslims etc.... so the title of the heading has the stereotype embedded in it...it should be (geographically) middle easterners are the new african people or muslims are the new christians (religiouly speaking since majority of black africans are chritstian) - but all in all we do get what he is saying muslims are currently the group most discriminated and profiled... now pple wathc out for them more then black people ..but dont worry, about our spot...there will always be a special spot in pples hearts for hatred towards the black african doesnt mean thy like us any better, they just hate them more!

... That was my point. But there is less reason now to focus on black people as the bete-noir.You often hear right-wingers moaning about "political correctness gone mad" angry that they can no longer call black people "darkies" of ****s and get away with it.

See at the moment post 9-11 in the US one only has to watch Fox News to see how far this has gone. Or some of those Christian nut-jobs like La Haye claiming that the rapture is going to happen soon.

Here in Europe however, people see it differently...

I do feel sorry for some of my Arab brothers too. I often see at King's Cross police stopping Asian men carrying bags and searching them. Any excuse to profile them.

You miss the point entirely. I was saying that the prejudice that was traditionally directed towards blacks is now directed to Muslims. One cannot today turn on the news without hearing some one-sided propaganda about "War on Terror" brilliantly and juxtaposed with pictures of suicide bombings in Iraq. The BBC are experts in this sort of thing. Same story is linked to Iran as if they have anything to do with each other.

I and most of us on this forum know the appalling effects of racism. And I empathise with those poor Iraqis caught up in the illegal invasion of their country and support their will to defend it by any means necesssary. But the demonisation of all Muslims is almost becoming a standard. And anyone who complains hears the immortal words 911 shoved down their throats.

Yeah but you have to ask WHY that is happening. At least Saddam had ways of keeping the populace together in unity. Unfortunately the coalition, by taking sides and pouring money and support to one side against the other no wonder there is bloodshed.

I bet you it'll seize the moment the US and UK leave the country.
