For those of u in the UK, this might be of interest:


ABC (Action for the Benefit of Children), which is a UK and Malawi registered Charity, are holding a fundraiser footie tourney this coming Saturday (26th June)! I went last year and it was good fun (we even had a women's team on the court!!)


The 5 -a - side Tournament will be held at the following venue:-


Barnet Copthall


Great North Way


Hendon


NW4 1PS


Tournament starts:- 9.30am


A good turn out, like the previous years is expected. They will be a BRAAI, RAFFLE, TROPHIES, etc 


This year ABC are asking for all those joining them on this day to bring any :-



  • Second-hand unused clothing.

  • Children's unused books, toys, writing and drawing materials which will be distributed at various Orphanage Homes.

A pamphlet will be available on the day to those interested in what the funds raised last year went towards in Malawi.

That sounds like good fun, Is there like some kind of fee for the playaz?? Do you know if they will provide like kiddies play area??

it will be good fun.....just hope the weather will not act up as it has been doing for the past couple of weeks. its £12 per player, and i would imagine there will be a kid's play area....in fact, i can confirm that there will be children's games, a bouncing castle, volleyball, braii (as we call it back home) and much more....so if u can make it, do come along!!
