The church as an istitution has always been a business. In fact it's a lot better now in terms of the aparrent virtues it brings because it is subjest to laws and not the subject of laws as it always was in the past.

The church as an insitution is pretty much useless in this day and age and only survives because of it's alliance with political power. I mean, the claims preachers make in church are hardly subject to any scrutiny. If they were all pastors would be jailed for making money under false pretences.

So where do you get your information from? If not from reading or research? Or experience?

I don't anywhere else people get accurate or reliable information from. Oh! I forgot by "revelation" from God right?

I am against the church. I loath the lies of religion and pity those that take it for a fact. In fact religious belief to me is about the same as a mental illness or worse.

i mean if your doctor was claiming that he could cure you by laying his hands on you and singing or speaking in tongues, he'll be put in jail. Preachers get away with it all the time and saps like you give your hard earned cash to keep this delusion in practice.

If the guy makes you sick then it's better you die. All these people who believe in God and religion( Billions as compared to your thousands - Atheists) are not stupid to do so. It's their right to do so and if you don't that is your right and choice. Don't go about dissing those who do.

Your atheism is now becoming tiring. Leave christian/ religious topics to those who believe.

My atheism is becoming tiring. Imagine how I must feel everyday listening to people like you shoving down your religious nonsense down people's throats everyday. Whether it be fundamentalist Islamists of Christians or the billions of people out there.

Well I'm sure there are people who still believe the earth is flat. Millions of Greek believed in Zeus and Hercules and all those gods. Then don't anymore. Science and reason would eventually cancell out all these religious fantasies. This apparent ressurgence of fundamentalism is partly due to the fact that they feel their beliefs are being threatened. Well, you religious people better be.

Mastermind sorry it too so long to reply to your post been busy . Hope you wont mind a late response . Remember, just because something appears to have a pattern, doesn't mean there is design or God behind it. What appears to have a pattern, appears to have a pattern in relation to US. Many patterns are later shown to not be patterns, and same vice versa.

people should realize religion is a social construction based upon bringing masses of people together and inventing rules to help us live together in peace and harmony. With that in mind we would look to culture, psychology, science, etiquette, and other social underpinnings to create a workable system in which we can all live happily. There is no living happily attempting to live by rules you cannot achieve due to being human. Religion makes a mockery of humankind. Religion attempts to make you feel bad for practically every urge we have as humanbeings. Religion, in this way is life denying.

Ruling by fear has been the rule for thousands of years, and thousands of years of history have shown that rule by fear doesn't work. What needs to be attempted is rule by understanding. When you can make someone understand your point and agree to it than they will devote their life to your cause, every single day of their lives, not just moments of blind faith which are always picked out and emphasised thousands of times over in order to attempt to brainwash people into believing that we should believe something based on nothing.
