You better place your name in orbitually.I didnt know you hate Malawi, while some of us love it to the maxmum.Do you want to tell me that it was a mistake you were born in malawi or you have just developed the hate becoz you have become a boot licker of a whiteman.I could not at any time hate something that has made me what I am despite the image of it.Adage says mako ndi mako usamuone kuchepa mwendo.Ine ndimakupatsa ulemu koma apa ayi wapyoza. I wish you apologise or quit the forum, I say quit bcoz this forum is called Malawian.net of which you hate.May God forgive you Game.

i expected you to say that, but before you throw dirt in my eyes understand why other people will always have different views to you no matter what.i didnt renounce my identity,am still a malawian,i still have folks in malawi i talk to them everyday but that dont stop me from looking at malawi in my own perspective,my experiences make me say what i said not yours or anybodies,i respect your views its time you respect mine if you dont i wont percecute you for it.
people on this forum just jump on the band wagon of hate, this forum is not a biased forum people discuss different issues regardless, you cant stop me because you are a patriot and am not,we have gays on this forum, whores also take part in discussions, thieves, murderes, etc and am only playing me. respect me for that, abre is an atheist i respect him for his beliefs i wont percecute him but i will want to know why he is what he is no crime in that so please learn to live with it.
if i hate malawi i have my good reasons, the same way you have reasons to love malawi.i did not say i hate being black,or i hate being african,or i hate being malawian,i just said i hate my country whats wrong with that?no offence pope but who are you to stop me from expressing my views huh?who are you to seal my well intentioned mouth?in life there will always be people with grievances, its an untold oppression of the mind if you dont present them.maybe i stayed for a long time looking at the prons and cons of doing this, malawi to me is like a father who molests his child and am the victim.now am coming out of my shell, how about that patriots>?

UUH!!! What a comeback. In the first place let me say I respect and uphold your right to castigate malawi, I really understand how malawi slowly made you what you are today,it is a step that you will never forget. Why I wrote you that post is the way you came with your headding, you sounded tired of these guys who have pushed you in the past days.I cherish your postings and I learn alot from you and I didnt mean to hurt you.
I know you have your mamas and papas here, I know you had bad experience with malawi may be leaders at that time but that should not be a basis of your outburst. You can denounce the identity of malawi the way you want but dont come on here and undress urself just becoz you have your rights.(joke)
Anyway sorry if you were hurt, but never never take your opponent seriously becoz he is just an alias.

i have met a few members on this forum and have had discussions with them, everytime i see their postings i see them, pseudos are used to shield our real identities on this forum, its not a play where you have to get into character and be the incredible hulk, game is my pseudonym but whatever game says comes from the man behind it,me.if someone personally attacks game he or she is definately attacking me,it hurts i wont lie to you.
in malawi people go through so much mental torture, its not a bed of rose so dont be naive, from nepotism to corruption i have seen it first hand and have always wanted an escape route, when i found it i took a first class ticket, not all people will agree with you that malawi is getting better, the rich in malawi are not intelligent enough to help the poor, their continuing growth in wealth produces even more exorbitant demands.think of a poor person with syphilis who cant get treatment from a local herbs man,he has to walk miles and miles from ngwenya to kamuzu central when a corrupt government official just sends a government vehicle at his bec and call.
am not trying to undress myself but am just letting my anger out at no particular direction, remember this is just a forum, people come here with different motives, some fools come here just to attack other people, some come for educational reasons, some are in persuit of knowledge, and there are some who just dont know what they want.

Thanks you have cooled down and thats the game I know. I really agree how bad the environment of malawi is and at one time I told someone on this forum that even me I live because I cant leave. When ever I get a chance of going out of the country ie on duty or holiday it bites me to land back to malawi. My next plan is to save as much as I can and post all ma kids out.
People here have resorted to mudslinging and most of them are old members who at one time failed to stand a debate with you and now they come as new guys alas!

i wouldn`t agree with you less pope. i was one of those people who got irritated with abres arrogant postings but i came to realise that these guys whoever they are, are just exceptional well informed and intelligent. apart from their arrogance we have to learn something from them. walira mvula walila matope.they tell sense truthwith arrogance as they are sure of what they are talking about.
i like speaking anything i can for me to learn from those who know more than i do. their two ways to do things love them or hate them. game and abres guys keep it up with all other guys who can come up with really educative arguements. i would rather be called names and learn something than having people pretending being nice with all rubbish ****.
we malawians have to get used to be told truth in our face in that we can learn.otherwise the forum sipantondo where our ladies will bitch about whose man has a massive knob. this forum is for us to learn from our fellow countrymen..
Game is it? I think it is? I think I have an idea where you stand about Malawi, I know some people black malawians or otherwise, who have the same sentiments about Malawi. Most of them say there is very little that would make them go back to the flame land. Most of them say that even if the country was on fire as the name itself depicts Malawi, they would not give a damn if some the country perished. But please tone it down. Maize flour production hits glitches BY GERALD NAMWAZA 04:27:06 - 03 February 2006
LEADING maize flour producers have accused some local merchants of withholding raw maize with the aim of hiking the price, a situation that has reduced production of the staple food.
Rab Processors Limited Finance Director Phassim Aszer revealed yesterday that some local maize merchants were demanding K50 per kg when the official price of maize was K17/kg.
“If we buy our raw materials at the exorbitant price then we would be forced to hike the price of maize flour,” Aszer said.
He said the official price of maize flour is K1,422 per 20kg bag but warned that if raw materials went up, the price would be increased.
“The problem is people don’t have money and maize is our staple food. This is what our maize traders need to understand,” Aszer said.
He attributed the current shortage of maize flour in supermarkets to the current food shortage.
Consumers Association of Malawi (Cama) has condemned the practice of withholding raw materials for maize flour production, saying it is an infringement on consumers’ rights.
sibweni. just look at that and tell me if anyone on this forum can change the situation, people dont even know that talk is cheap,if you got lucky to get out of that situation just thank God and work hard because here in the west anything is possible, dreams do come true.

Let me contribute a little bit on this topic even though it looks almost concluded. I feel sometimes as Malawians, we have to distinguish between the roles of our parents and Malawi as country. If our parents failed in their roles to raise us up in a way that we feel we should have been, Malawi as a country should not be blamed. If you were coming from a family which could not afford to drop you to school from your home in Area 47, when all your friends were, then dont blame Malawi blame your parents. Why were your friends parents able to do that? Lets be realistic guys dont just come here full with Kadamsana and start blaming Malawi for your poor upbringing. I am not only saying this to Game but to everybody on this forum. I for one grew up under abject poverty, my parents could not even afford a kabudula when I was in primary school. Za nsapato hi!!!!!. All my friends had nice clothes, shoes, etc. In that case who should I blame? Game and everybody please read between the lines of what I have said. I feel that it is time that we look into this issue seriously and stop calling our mother Malawi names.

Mulopwana,
do you fully understand what you are saying or could it be that iweyo ndiye wakhuta kadamsana?
How can you seriously say we should blame our parents for our "poor" upbringing just because others could afford the things our parents could not?Do you understand how society works?Amwene izi mwalemba apa ndiye mbwelela, zammutu!zoledzela kadamsana izi!
I would never blame my parents when it comes to my upbringing.I thank them everyday for the times when we ate thelele or nkhwani whilst others were eating zabwino, the times when we ate mbatata or chinangwa whilst others were eating bread or cakes, the times when they took me to Kamuzu Central Hospital and not kwa Dr Ghumra,I thank them and will always be greatly indebted to them for everything that has made me,me.They showed me and my brothers and sistas love with the little they were getting, they did not have much but we were a happy family, living within our means.Growing up kwa Biwi and Bangwe was not easy but thats what life had in store for me and my family and today you tell me to blame them,I say no,If you want to blame your parents go ahead but dont tell us to follow that stupid idea.
You have a choice when it comes to marriage, you choose who your in laws should be based on what you want but you dont have the same choice yosankha banja lobadwila,so how can you start blaming them for your "poor"upbringing.

Much as it it apprecited that you are following the events on the local scene, let us desists the idea of comparing mangoes against apples it obvious that they are different. UK/USA will never be like Malawi and vice versa. About the article written by one Gerald Namwaza, there is nothing wrong with it as it part of his duty and responsibility as a journalist to inform people like you. However, let us look at both sides of the coin and I am sure these are some of business practices that occur even where you are depending on the situation prevailing at that particular moment. You should not forget the oil crisis and the never ending corporate and boardroom scandals that are rocking in the countries where you are all these at the end of the day affect you directly or indirectly. The whole situiation here goes back to the basics of economics of supply and demand which most of the commodity goods get affected adversively. May be Gerald Namwaza need to probe further why suppliers are holding on to stock. Just recently there was a speculation that the government wants to increase the purchasing price of commodities especially maize therefore this can be one of the contributing factors to the current situation. Sometimes our local journalist even where you are tend to blow things out of proportion and make people get emotionally charged causing panic to a situation which can be dealt with properly. So if you want to stay there just stay us here we will survive and we are used.
inde angwazi the guy does also understands anthu ambiri mujasporamu sachokera mabanja osauka. our golden parents arent to be blamed but be thanked for teaching us what life really is. if mulopwana was raised up spoiled its not the same with me who was raised by old school disciplinarian. pple raises their kids differently. this shows later in life the upbringing of one. being clever in class doesnt make great at intergrating in society where you meet pple with different upbringing with different family values.
mulopwana if you are a true malawian and proud to be one then you must know better how we value family. mako ndi mako mkulu. you dont need to tell us to blame our parents. who are you tell me to blame my baba. sometimes you need to think before you post something to do with parents. if yours allowed to musterbate at the corner while they are eating their dinner not all parents will smile to that ****e. am sorry but mulopwana your arrogance has no substance. yes be arrogant with something meaningfull. i dont think your papa and mama will impressed with your last posting. how many poor pple are there in malawi. how many can send their kids to phwezi or kaphuka even kumkaka. for your information may be you are young people used drop primary school cause they couldnt pay K4.50 plus uniform not by choice but theirparents were skint, anthu ngati sukudziwa amaotcha sugar ndikumati tea sugar wopserera.
vuto lake ndiloti you guys nowadys parents never take your to their backyard and see your true folks and where live, how they survive, how they raised your dad and mum and their siblings nde mukhala mtauni you think life is just the same to everybody. unditchulisa chiwolotu iwe. even umaidziwa A47 yeniyeni mtandile or A10 11and 12 kauma. can you tell kids from those areas to blame their parent. i will tell you what they do to blame their parents they go to homes like your rob everything rape your sister your mother including your papa if you r lucky otherwise they will just stick one between his ears and leave you learn how people survive. mpwanga anthu amachokela patali osamayamba muzingomwa fosters dont insult people you dont know how they made it here. i know a couple of guys who used to be really good at that trade who would love to sort you out with passion if they get their hands at one of you. what car does your papa drives. i would like to know it.
you might have got whatever education you have cause of the system which even deprives the capable ones of university cause they didnt get six credits and ****e like that and take on idiots yet you want the victims to blame their parents. there people like sherrif chisamwa the man with 15 points and others with even better grades who were failed by the system yet you want them to blame thir parents these comes from previlaged families
mulopwana people dont want to live in sucking poverty people want to TITS
am sorry but i dont blame my parents,i respect them and appreciate their hard work as i was not easy to raise,in short i can say i was high maintenance.it was my choice to walk to school and even if it wasnt i cant blame my parents for failing me if you think like that then you are so stupid.i thought maybe you was a little smart to read between the lines but i was wrong.malawi is my home but a broken home i love it and hate it at the same time,i love it because there is no other better place than home and i hate it because of my bad experiences, like abre said,(demons to be exorcised)
bad experiences made me to work hard in life and never look back, painfull memories give me the strength i need to succeed, and as long as i live i will have the emotional scars reminding me of what a miserable existance i was in back in malawi,so dont give me that straight ass crap to blame my parents when they had to fight an uphill battle to make ends meet for me and my siblings.i would rather be racialy abused and have a fat bank account than be free and broke all the time.

seems like mulopwana is a spoiled brat and i bet you go crying to mumy if things get tough.
no matter what situations i went thru ,i can not blame my parents for it cos i know whatever happened has shaped me to be what i am today.i can tell you a couple of people whose parents were doing so great and panopa they come to my house and ask if they can do my garden so that they should at least get some food.
there is a saying that goes ,heredity nothing ,environment everything .which simply means ,doesnt matter what kind of parents you have ,but your environment ,the way you were brought up determines your future.
mulopwana ,we go full circle .thats the world for you ,hope twenty years from now your children wont blame you for being stupid and ask you "when game and abres were doing odd jobs in the u.k what were doing?" am sure whatever these guys are doing ,they got the inspiration from their parents
I am happy with the contributions guys. Yes we really cant blame our parents. They did a good job for us to reach this stage. So likewise we dont have to blame Malawi for the poverty but ourselves for doing nothing to change the situation.

I urge you to keep up putting some sense into these guys, whether theycall you names mulopwana never tire.I also believe in being a pilot of change than a beneficiary in form of a refugee.Being in malawi is like being a stone at the corner of a building.
Game, know that the freedom you are enjoying in uk came due to someones sacrifice, those guys who went around in the west collecting slaves and selling them in south america, they toiled and here you are kunyambitira ufulu. You can do that today,be courage as your papa was, paying fees from doughnuts sales. You will not do the same, you can only put pounds or dollars into the country, see them growing and earn interest.
The freedom you have is confined to a certain limit, you can never pride in the achievements of that country than your own.I f yes then thus why Malawi will remain what it is today.
At the bottom of all remember you have the right to react or respond, you are a freeman.

the fact still remains, change is inevittable and i just pray that things will work out in malawi,my question is though, what are you doing to bring forth change in malawi apart from talking the talk and not walking the walk.remember that in most cases those who want to be thanked for development are actually those seated at the back seat of a train of development and cannot see in front.you mulopwana is one of them.
malawi needs a simple prescription,a dose of transparency.look at the reduction in agriculture income, the government is doing nothing to accelerate our agriculture population to an economically viable size.all they do is look up to donors and beg for more money which often goes to the hands of corrupt officials instead of the poor, this is why the country fails to provide for its citizens.and when we blame it you think we are being unpatriotic.

Keep it up pope. That is what Malawi needs most, creativity. There is alot of money in Malawi for those who feels like investing there. All what is required is to use your brain to the maximum. Tell your sister not to relent. Is it possible for me to have those pictures as well?
Mulopwana, If given your email ad I will send becoz this wil be for you and not the forum.
Now game here we are,got education from malawi and we want to enjoy with it without any contribution to the nation and burry the history. The country is failing because the pipo are,all the cream of Unima is in wilderness either in search of higher education or foreign passports and the % is alarming.I hope your kids will have the audacity to change your principles.I rest my case.

Pope,
how many graduates are still there in the country and how many have left the country?and out of those who have left the country, how many held senior positions or positions of influence as to the formulation of policies that were of economic, social, technological or political importance to the country whether in the private sector(NGOs inclusive)and the public sector?
How can you blame those who have gone to seek higher education for the failings of the country, isn't it possible that after realising that the country has not got the manpower with specific skills and training they have then gone abroad to attain such skills and return home?isnt that possible?
Instead of blaming graduates for such things, have you ever thought of how big a percentage the politicians are to blame for the same?
