The conviction of mwawa on charges of embezzlement, abuse of public office is good news for patriots like myself. this man and his likes belong to those filthy jails!! Keep up the good work ACB and catch more culprits!! There are a lot more people who have abused public offices at the expense of the have-nots. what a shame! maybe we can start to deal fairly and share the little there is.

You are right my bro. I hope this is a step forward. However, few things need to be put right. Corruption in Malawi is not a legalistic item. What I mean is that our corruption will not cease through the law alone. We need to locate the root causes of our corrupt attitudes. We can not isolate corruption from its sources. All corrupted people in governmental sectors do not hail from hell, but products of our corrupt society. So to root out corruption, we need to start from our communities, societies up to the national level. How do we do it is what I ask all concerned Malawians to discern.

I very much agree. If corruption is left to be tackled by the ACB, it's like trying to kill a snake by cutting its tail.

There have to be more explicit and direct ways of disseminating the anti-corruption messages rather than "report all forms of corruption". It's the same conservative way of disseminating messages that has led MW to be a victim of HIV/AIDS. Let's break the taboos and save the people from all these vices.

There is a lot of background work to be done so that the core of this problem is identified so that a multi-faceted approach is adopted.  Maybe we can be allocated building plots on 1st come first served basis.
