Do you really want me to answer your lame ass question? Well these are the reality of life my sister if you dont know.The above **** happened last week here in Malawi.

Is this posting actually getting air time ? This is how rumors spread. Miss thing I wish you had reponded the same way you did to the moral dilemma question - "God Save this Forum" The first part of the topic was legit, but then when you into someones stories thats just too much... Malawi is a small country, even if you replace names with X,Y, and Z your still putting people sh*t out to dry. Even though I dont know who your talking about in the forum....Id rather stay out of peoples business...the world is big and theres a lot to talk about!

Being the Attorney General this dude should behave as a honarable public figure. I think if a person accepts to take a public service position you are prone to criticism by the public.Whatever you do can tarnish your picture.

As a public figure your way of living makes the news, i dont consider it to be gossip.

I dont see anything wrong with the president initial posting. Miss Thang the president has backed up his story unless somebody proves otherwise.

As much as I hate to side with a guy when a female is concerned (girl power I guess) but Ms Thang & Black Panther cool down. Look at the age of the girl and how old is that SOB Ralph, she is old enough to be his daughter, gee-weez asandilakhulitse lingo lamakedzana!!! It's just unfortunate that most of these court rulings are not really effective back home and it's sad for the poor girl that she has to face the reality, no court in Malawi will be able to make the SOB to pay child support let alone spousal support for her there.

There are a lot of young folks on this site (I mean those in their teens). Just check the Friends corner and you will see some of the names you will recognise as those you left them still in Primary school the time some of you were graduating from college. And may be when they read a posting like this, mainly the link you put Mr President, they will see beyond the MK15,000 them sugardaddies (are they still called that?) give them. It's already a shameful thing back home to carry a pregnancy out of wedlock let alone all the publicity she's gone thru.

Wot's up Gerald, I hope you don't go down like this (performing arbotions), used to think that you're Pro Life type of Doc.

I am one of the people who respect peoples opinion. I respect panther's and Miss Thang's opinion because I understand thats how they see the issue and some of us see it differently. I decided to post it because a an unbecoming behaviuor that need some critisism.I expected that ladies could have been in the fore front of doing that but what are we getting ohh! thanks to Brandy who saw the plight of this Young lady.

Anyway lets see this as I said as long as its in the Papers its not Gossip I dont do gossip. So what in the papers to day on the same Issue.

Women parlimentarians are moving the motion today against the bahaviour of the AG that Daily time of today.

And it reads:

Women parlimentarians will today move a motion on The AG to condem his alleged rejection of an eight months-old pregnancy and neglegence of the mother to be..........

Oh! and the paper reads on:

A legal analyst who sought for anonymity said it was very strange and dismaying to note that Women Lawyers Association of Malawi and women activist were not in the forefront to enhance and fight for women's rights and level the playing field.

The case continues today in court.

i didnt want to reply to this because i thought at first that this is trash until i read the story and the names involved. This girl has disgraced her family and the family of her so called husband. Enough said i hope she will get justice because i think its about time men like Kasambara who take advantange of their positions, young beautiful women who are vulnerable because of the poverty in Malawi. They give them money, promise them that they will marry them and makes them quit their jobs and they have their fun with them and when they get bored they dump them with nothing. In this case she is even pregnant and he dumps her with nothing. I hope finally justice will be done and men in higher positions who have mistresses somewhere should know that those women are entitled to something if dumped. These women should be protected by law. In malawi unfortunately people tend to critisise the girl or woman more that the man. Men can have as many girlfriends as they want and do with them as they please. This is the first time someone has had the guts to stand up against societies belief and take this man to court. Its brave of her and she is probably not the only one. If she wins her case a lot of women in her situation will have the guts to do something. We will probably have to expect more cases like these in future.

I fail to see how this is anybody's business and Mr president uless this gossip actually affects you on a persona level, you might as well lay off it because it REALLY doesn't concern you or anyone.

Mr President i know u backed up ur story but still its gossip same thing with the kafatia story it doesnt concern any of u instead find some topics discuss on ways to prevent these kinds of crimes instead of who is wrong or who is right. As long as ur talking about someone and it doesnt concern u at all is GOSSIP period

I disagree totally with Abre and Chichi. I think that if it would have been a nobody then it would have been gossip. This on the other hand is not gossip.

The fact that the one involved is non other than the attorney general of Malawi makes this a big issue.

He being in that position is suppose to show a good example to the nation. With HIV being as high as it is in Malawi how can the political leaders advise people to use condoms, or sex with only one partner when they themselves do the opposite. No wonder why Malawi has got a lot of HIV infections.

Women who have children out of wedlock in Malawi find themselves in a desperate situation where they have to support the child by themselves. There is no such thing as child maintenance in Malawi. I think its about time that malawian men stand up to their responsibility and pay child maintenance. The payment of child maintenance should depend on how much one earns and if paternity test can be proved. It takes two to make a child. It shouldnt just be the girl or woman to bear the consequences.

Dont get me wrong here i am not one of those hard-core feminist. But i think women should be protected in many ways by the law, they should have the same rights as men. With this case it shows that Malawi is waking up to the rest of the world. Malawian women have to start from somewhere this is the beginning.
