Detectives investigating a city murder have charged a man with being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and criminal damage.
A murder inquiry was launched after Andrew Chikondi Banda, 26, died after an incident in his home Stoneacre, Bestwood Park, at 5pm on Good Friday.
Mr Banda, originally from Malawi and known to his friends as CK, was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre with a stab wound but died an hour later.
Three people, two males and a female, were arrested soon after.
One of them, a 17-year-old male, has now been charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and criminal damage. Police have named him as Ryan Harper, of Bestwood Park Drive, and he was appearing before Nottingham magistrates today.
The second man is still being questioned by police. He was arrested on Saturday night and magistrates gave officers a 36-hour extension to interview him over the weekend. This was due to run out at 8.30pm today.
The woman, who was arrested on Sunday evening, has now been released on police bail, and must return to see the inquiry team in May.
The investigation into Mr Banda's death is being led by Detective Chief Inspector Phil Walker. He asked for anyone who was in the Stoneacre area between 4pm and 5pm on Friday to contact police.
Today he told the Post: "At the moment we think the offenders were local and probably known to the victim, although we are keeping an open mind.
"We want to speak to anyone who was around Stoenacre between 4pm-5pm on Friday, particularly anyone who saw somebody running away from - or walking near - 48, Stoneacre, where the victim lived.
"I want anybody who has information to contact Notts Police on 0115 9670999 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111. Please come forward, and don't assume we already have your information."
Mr Banda's ground floor flat at Stoneacre, Bestwood Park, has been scoured for clues by forensic officers - and the entrance was cordoned off and the curtains were drawn while this took place.
Friends left floral tributes outside his home and neighbours paid tribute to Mr Banda.
One tribute read: "May you rest in peace, I will never forget your smile."
Another said: "I love you always and forever, one love."
The death has shocked residents.
One neighbour, who did not want to be named, said: "It's unbelievable. There's never been any trouble here. You just don't imagine this happening."
A post-mortem examination was carried out on Saturday after the body was found and confirmed the victim died from a stab wound.

Malawian stabbed to death in UK
by Mc Donald Chapalapata, 19 April 2004 - 16:15:42
A Malawian man was stabbed to death last week in Nottingham in the United Kingdom on allegations of unsettlement of debts by white men, the Malawi High Commission in London has confirmed. Chikondi Banda, popularly known as “CK” among his friends was stabbed at his apartment by unknown white men who had gone to his house to ask for their money, according to sources in Nottingham. First Secretary at the Malawi Mission in London Jayne Banda on Monday confirmed Banda’s death in Nottingham and said his body is at Leicester Police station where an autopsy was conducted. She said some white people were remanded and were expected to appear before court on Monday. “But we have asked for an official statement from the authorities here so that we get the motive of the killing because what we have are just allegations,” said Banda. She said the family of the late Banda is in contact with the mission to make arrangements for burial here in Malawi. “Apparently he married a black British national and she wanted to bury him here in the UK until the family came in,” added Banda. She said the mission official interrogated the woman but got nothing concrete as regards the stabbing of the Banda. “As soon as the authorities here give us the official statement on what happened, we are going to let you know, otherwise we have sketchy information but our defence attache is also working on the matter,” said Banda.
