Latest reports from Malawi have indicated that Bingu the great has fired Gwanda Ngulube Chakuamba from cabinet. Those in the know are indicating that this is a move to pave way for the investigations by the ACB against Gwax currently under way. Gwax is alleged to have used World Bank Money, (ear marked to alleviate the effects of the famine in the country), to buy the BMW X5 as his official Automobile (Koma Mtima Okha Inu, Suvala sanza)


Ayatollah would like to hail the not only dynamic but also wise Bingu on this move. Kumeneko ndiye kukhala. No one is and should be above the law in Malawi. The country is for Malawians and not only a few priviledged individuals. Keep it up!

In principle I agree with the theme of "no one above the law". But it should alse include Bingu himself. And he should alse be open to investigation. Remember the way Muluzi investigated the Kamuzus and went ahead and did his own stuff. I believe in an independent judiciary and if Malawi has one, then the better.

Of course Gwanda should be investigated, but I sense a political motive only and not a legal one. It smells disingenuine. Maybe I'm wrong and Bingu is really a straight guy, but I have to actually be in Malawi to make that judgement.

Thanks ayah for recognising Bingus effort.A Chakwamba kuthamanga magazi too much.In the first place he was not supposed to come back into active politics as he decided to quit.I see him fighting from the dungeon as Chihana.These old guys are too ambitious,dreaming in colour instead of b/w.I felt sad to hear he used the drought money to buy BMW @MK15million!!!!!!


Now for my good president,your decision is politically motivated and these guys will now live to pull u backwards.The game is getting hotter than before.There is a fight within DPP for hot seats and it is slowly affecting the gvt performance,mark my words

To my undrestanding  i dont think Gwanda has been fired he has been demoted from Minister of Agriculture to Minister of irrigation and water the whole news is on the Nation site on the first page maybe i didnt read very well could somebody help me understand on this issue

Opong,Gwanda is off any ministry as of now.Rumours are there that he may make a strong come back,now as a second vice president.

We have the new ones,but they dont make the numbers to push the old ones out of the way.Just imagine some were there with HKB,BM and now with BWM.Can I share with you what one politician said on the podium?He said you young guys are the future leaders,that is when all of us old ones die****
