One too many a time, people have speculated that the rich and succesful Ayatollah came from rugs to riches. Sometimes I wish this were true and it pains me that I have always lived a life of priviledge.
I am not ashamed to say that the Kamuzu days were some of the best days and some of us trully enjoyed the fruits of an extravagant government. I remember how me and my young sister used to go to the same School on two different government vehicles every day. I vividly remember how the government maintained two houses for my father, one in Lilongwe and the other in Blantrye.
One of the funniest things I never really understood was why the government also assigned two vehicles every time my mum was going to either the maize mill or to the market. The Landrover vehicle MG 2020 would carry the bags of Maize and the maid and the Peogeot 605 would carry my mum and any one of the kids who wanted to come a long.
From Primary School to the academy days, I think the Kamuzu government spent thousands of unnecessary dollars on me. Not to take anything away, I wish this money was allocated to some poor kids in embangweni or Ntchisi. For real, I feel guilty for being part of the privy. If there is any way I can pay you back, please let me know. Would be happy to start out with Abiti Nyino.
This extreme extravagance is deeply rooted in Malawi. Now I clearly see that this practice was wrong and I must apologize to the likes of Abiti Nyino who used to walk miles just to get to School and learn ABC. I am sure your consolation comes from the satisfaction you get when you look back from where you are coming from vis a vis where you are today. I wish I could share the same story. For this I must apologize!
This is really sad we really have nothing to do. Ayatollah being a grown man how can u come in here and say that. I was starting to have some kind of respect fo ya but this is just ridiculous. If u guys want to brag to each other why not send each other private messages. U know ur not sorry fo having the life that u had. U know what u just reminded me of Judas. After he sold Jesus he felt guilty so he went to Jesus to say that he was sorry but Jesus looked into his heart and knew that he was not sorry. He was just guilty. If u enjoyed all those priviledges ur talking about just be thankful that u did.
The bible says dont feel sorry for urself, dont blame urself, and dont punish urself as, but feel sorry for being a sinner. Why should u feel sorry fo the life u had, u should know that was in Gods plan. So just be quiet and be thankful for what u have. If u can give back to ur country instead of coming up in here talking nonsense

Chichi, your posting is so mature and very enlightening. Today being a Sunday, you just touched my soul. Please do not take everything I write seriously. Sometimes I write just to spike the haters. Just like Ms Thang, I got nothing but love for all of you. Remember, I had not control over my childhood. The only thing I can control is my destiny. What's a kid to do when you are being showered and spoiled by the fruits of extravagance. A kid sure doesn't know any better. Then, everything just seemed like the norm of the day. I wish I knew then what I know now. Zocheza izi.
all I can say is show some class pls. No matter what pple say about how you grew up, it is not your fault. so dont argue with fools, it only makes you look foolish. When i read your post i was like ' what the hell is this' . Its not a good characteristic in a leader . Im not saying pretend u didnt expereince what u did or pretend u were poor. but a true measure of class, and presidential quality is to not talk about money. The irchest people onthie earth , the Hiltons, the Gates , the Heinz kids etc.. they do not talk about money. It tacky, its low class, and its insulting to the people that did have to walk to school a million miles to learn their ABCs. I was not one of those kids that had to do this. But I would never put a posting like that on the internet. Ayat, if you truelly have political aspirations and want to gain the support of the people, my advice to you is that u swallow ur pride, and dont argue over stipud things. concentrate on the issues that u want to tackle, that is the best way of getting supprt of people like me- I will support you . but first you must mature politically, and part of this includes building some charisma.
My appologies to all those I may have offended by the posting above. I guess I am guilty by association. pepani kwabasi mabwana ndi madona. Chilungamochi was just a slip of the tongue. Napepe ndinthu.
