Dont be emotional,we are all entitled to our opinions of the politicians in the country.Just because you feel JZU  did a good job whilst he was in government does not necessarily mean that abre or myself have to agree with you.Doing a good job is subjective hence it can be looked at from different angles and all views have to be accepted for the healthy of the debate.Yes he served Kamuzu was well,always there when Kamuzu wanted him but so did Wadson Bin Deleza.For close to 15 years,Deleza was the Minister without Portfolio,all the reshuffles that were happening went past him and for almost 8 years,he was the Minister of Transport and communications.He was the only guy to have served continuosly,without being dropped or"KUTHA" in the cabinet(remember in 1974 or thereabouts Tembo became the governor of the Reserve Bank).Now my question to you is,how come Wadson Delezas name does not come up when we talk about the evils of the MCP?How come its only John Tembos name that is held as the culprit in the death of all those that died under the MCP yet he never was in the cabinet for not as long as Deleza?Yes we dont have any concrete evidence on the deaths of those people that are attributed to Tembo,but that does not necessarily mean that he is clean,it only shows how cunning he was to make sure that all evidence dissapears,he knew exactly what he was doing and thats why at the Mwanza incident trial,all we had was hearsay,the witnesses had all died,a coincidence??

You talked about  looking at the positives inorder to build a prosperous Malawi,yes we all want that but how can we move forward when we have such a past,a past that is haunting us?

and i ve been a victim of malawian politics and tembos business so for me to talk of letting go of the past it comes after alot of thinking.

tembo has been arrested  tried in court and he is still a free man. how much did the govt spend on all this. we can all give our guesses and come up with different figures but the matter of fact is that money was wasted that could have help some people some where in malawi.

we all; know what he has done but we cant prove it so there is no point wasting time crying about spilt milk

lets accept that the guy is good and leave with it do other things

Politicians are greedy because the people that give them power are. Not really but thats good enough to be true. If honest well meaning people were somehow able to give them power then prehaps they would be honest well meaning people. To giveth you must taketh away though so those same honest people must take the power away from those greedy people.

i dont understand why we argue obver politics when we know for sure that politicians are just st people just like you and i. But somone always seems to think that their soul purpose is to screw everyone else over and line their own pockets.

Some people deserve to be forgiven, but not him... We the victims of Tembo and Kamuzu chose to differ on that subject.

What are you some right-wing bible basher? Juxtaposing Tembo and Paul and "God's will" together? What the hell are you talking about?

It goes without saying that he can never be the president of Malawi except through a miracle - and I think they outlawed miracles long ago. This "mess" Malawi is in today is a result of collective responsibility. Malawi, Africa and especially the west as a whole; not Bakili only.

And another thing, the president of Malawi's remit is not to do "God's will" but to look after the citizens and the economy - both of which Tembo falls short of seeing that he is an alleged murderer...

If one believes (which it seems that you do) that Tembo would get his comeuppance after his death then forgiveness is an easy option to take. But unlike you I don't subscibe to that belief. I hate him with a passion. As a child an attempted murder was made on my family; I was only 3 months old at that time. I nearly died and so did every member of my family. Fortunately we made it out and never went back to MW. The orders came from Tembo. Yes, I hate him. Entirely justified.

After Muluzi cocked up the trial of MCP officials I still think it is possible to bring about other charges of conspiracy to commit murder and murder if a serious investigation was taken.

Yes abre and thang you are really right in what yu are saying.Me I lost my relatives bcoz of him and my education was disturbed bcoz of him.But if we fight him physically it is impossible but as you have said he will never rule Malawi that is very true but we should guard him so that he wont.What I was trying to say is he is still Tembo and for him to change I doubt.
