This is the world gay, lesbian and bisexual persons find themselves in each day. Would you choose this life if you didn’t have to do so?

Gays and lesbians do not choose to be gay or lesbian. Gays and lesbians must overcome tremendous obstacles as they live their life and seek basic rights such as life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Why are so many gay persons “coming out?” For many it is because they are tired of this kind of life and they are fighting for equality. They have had enough of the oppression, violence, lack of equality, lying, and forced secrecy and shame. They refuse to live the life of a victim. They have had enough of being second class citizens and know they deserve the same rights and responsibilities held by those persons who are not gay or lesbian.

If you think gays, lesbians and bisexuals choose their sexual orientation, ask yourself when you chose yours. If you are heterosexual did you wake one morning and decide that you were going to fall in love with someone of the opposite sex? Did you decide that you would be attracted to the opposite sex? Did someone recruit you as a heterosexual? Gays, lesbians and bisexuals do not choose their orientation any more than do heterosexuals. Studies consistently demonstrate that the problems gays face are caused by the attitudes and behaviors of society at large, not by sexual orientation

You are one of the only people who has actually said anything sensible about this issue of sexuality. I said it once before and the accucsations that came flying, you'll think I was Hitler incarnate. All I said was exactly what you just put forward. I think you might have said it better than I did.

But society loves to label. We need to have members of society to point fingers at. To condemn as sinners, immoral, you name it. To blame for all sorts of evil. It was once for your colour, now it's sexual orientation. People don't seem to agree that there's always been gay and lesbian people in society. Always. I can assure you there are a great deal in Malawi too. Call it a cultural abomination or whatever, it still exists.

It wouldn't make a difference to me if my child told me that they were gay,as long as they are happy then i'm happy. We do not know what it is like to be gay, most people look down at gay people making them feel like they have something wrong with them,why dont gay people treat straight people like they have a problem because they both at opposite sides of sexuality.

People who don't except homosexuality are living in denial and they will have a very hard time as more people are coming out. LIVE AND LET LIVE PLEASE!!!!!

As an individual i think there is something wrong when a man immitates a woman's behavior or vice versa. Naturaly the Homosapien were created to mate btwn a male and a female. The bottom line of matting is reproduction although there is pleasure in the process.

Imagine if the gay population keeps on increasing dont you think our species will no longer walk the earth.

Thats the way that i look at it so i will do anything possible to talk to them and leave no stone unturned to make them reverse their decision.If this doesnt work then i will take it as a necessary evil.

I was wondering how long it would take before someone came with a religious angle to this topic about creation and gender roles/reproduction.

You say imagine "if" the gay population increases. Well it's just that, an imagiantion. It's not happening. Life, reproduction etc, Doesn't require our imagination to proceed with its process.

Two. As far as I'm concerned. And as far as I know from my gay/lesbian friends they just fancy the same sex. They've been like that since they started thinking about sex. It's not rocket science, they just don't fancy the opposite sex. No amount of talk, prayer, counselling, makes any difference.

I would feel the same if someone was trying to talk me away from fancying women. It would be impossible. It's just that simple.

What about people who believe in totally abstaining from sex? Aren't they also "unnatural"?

i hate gays thats a known fact in my life.i grew up in a Godly family and gays are heathens.if some of you think its they rights thats cool but as for me and my family and all my associates gay people are dirty and demonic.

we had this kind of discussion long before and i made my point clear that i can never mix with a gay man as it would be like Lot in sodom,i stand by my word before God.keeso and the rest of you made it clear also that you dont believe in God thats why you support or are gay pick one.the reason that this forum is anonymous it is hard to know who you mix with,it could be the devils advocate,one never knows.but a man of God will always stand out amongst devils thats the good thing.

You want to hate me then hate me,what can i do but keep spitting fire because all your opinions are pre-school so i can handle you.

You call yourself godly, shame on you! If you can pick a verse in the bible that says that it is okay to judge or even hate gays like you say you do then I'll pretty much shut up about it.

Christianity been used a lot to justify a lot of hatred. From slavery to segregation, to the wiping out of traditional, African religion. Since now it doesn't have anything else to hate, it has turned to sexuality. Forget about the self-righteous, so-called christian right, gay-bashing, George Bush loving, rhetorical nonesense and see it from the point of view of the hated. Empathise with them. You think they like being hated, abused, called evil and made to feel like second-class people? Huh?

All our opinions are pre-school. I guess you are the epitome of adulthood aren't you. I don't even think you finished secondary school seeing that you really are not very understanding of ANYTHING.

I always hate to abuse peoples intellegence because it might not be their fault. But ignorance? Yes it is ones fault.

being a gay is a natural thing and whether u agree with that or not doesnt affect the way some1's feeling should be.
