Heh heh, don't worry dear, not many people ascribe to black humour. You gotta wean 'em first otherwise their minds just block out.
For the hoi poloi look at it this way, there's nothing funny about a man who's shot through the heart and dies, yet you gotta admit you'd find it funny if someone got shot in the bum and kicked the bucket. Same outcome, why does the latter one not seem as bad?
Still, one must be well balanced to absorb the sick stuff. Obsession leads to psychosis and hence to heinous crimes...
I worry 'bout you Jane, considering your full handle is what the cops call unidentified female corpses...
I think that there's a thin line between black humour and tastelesness. To get black humour right, it has to have a tad bit of irony attached to it. To cross the line into black, the humour has to ring true to an extent.
Sadly, that joke didn't meet either of the criteria.
C'mon guys jus' think wit' me for a minute here: you gat a kid, you are a dyke and currently you goin' out with the [Blair witch]..who so happens to teach you ominous jokes. Damnnnnn!
Pudah paf or whatever you call yourself. It's idiots like you who, having misunderstood an opinion, go on to quote another opinion that you are totally ignorant about.
My definition af black humour was from a media critic's point of view and not a dictionary one. Seeing that I have ample experience in that field I am right and you are wrong end of story!
Since this is a public forum ANY opinion placed is put here to attract debate, criticism. If a joke is placed, its placed here for people to read it, if it isn't funny we all have the right to criticise it. That Joke wasn't funny. You know why? Because it was just plain tasteless! Even black humour has to have taste. Its lack of taste can olny work ironically.
Ah, a media critic... a veritable fount of unending wisdom. I suppose dictionaries are for idiots (your word not mine) like myself. I gave you the benefit of the doubt Kesso, you let me down.
He who knows not and knows not he knows not Is a fool Shun him He who knows not and knows he knows not Is a pupil Guide him He who knows and knows not he knows Is dangerous Avoid him He who knows and knows he knows Is wise Follow him
I wonder where you copied that unoriginal, shallow piece of diatribe dressed up as infinite wisdom.
I expected more from you. Well, I guess this could turn uglier and I'm not up for anything negative this time around, so I'll let this one slide since it's just insignificant...
