if the devil makes a good decision that in your heart you feel it is right can you not tell others to follow suit? i know damn well that he is a failure and a wimp but if you had listened to his speech he said"if you screw up as a leader you have to step down"thats exactly what he has done,the word screw up could be translated in different ways from what he said,1,screw up for using immigrants as a ladder to winning elections,he definately did not do a thorough debate in presenting his manifesto,2, he did not equip himself with enough political armour to topple the labour government.which had done alot of homework before going on the campaign spree.on the other hand there are the lib dems getting stronger and stronger chewing chunks from both labour and the conservative.so you still have to give props to the man for taking such a step.thats what we call owning up to your mistakes.

You really don't know much about the internal workings of politics. You take speeches and campaigns by politicians at face value. For one, Howard as the leader of the party was appointed by its members and they have the right to get rid of him, which is what they did. His speech was just hokum basically. For the masses to digest and not lose faith in the party.

The Tories know that it isn't Howards fault he didn't get elected, the voters didn't give him a majority. They knew from the start they were fighting a losing battle. The politician can never be bigger than the party, watch how they dispose of Tony Blair in the next few months. Remember how they got rid of Thatcher?

Don't belive what some speechwriter writes about intergrity and honesty... It's all spin!

how come you say he is not my friend,what do you know about politics that you can teach me mr keeso?am a foreigner and black yes but his anti-immigration policy was not addressed to me,maybe people like you, people who promote anarchy and lawlessness people who hide in a cave to preserve their purity,its not my fault that you cant read between the lines,you have a problem with grasping first hand information thats why you have to consult chomsky and refer to his ill intentioned and senseless statements.am well aware of your plight to get recognition as a political pundit but first i politely ask you to calculate your distance before taking a step because there are people like me who are quick to detect some melavolency.

am not a howard supporter but i do respect his decision to step down thats the bottom line, he is a politictian whose miscalculated actions lost him the confidence of the electorate,he took the decision to step down which in my opinion was remarkable.so if you have a problem with me giving props to the man then i dont know who am dealing with.
