!remember you dont choose your destiny, destiny chooses you! so becareful of what you say because death and life lies in the tongue.
its rather dissapointing to read half the postings that are posted on this forum they are so deviant. i would have thought as malawians here in the diaspora we would be learning from our friends and discussing important matters rather than irrelevant stuff like what kind of car one drives or what they own. we should be looking at ways to make our country better maybe you are sayin thats not my job but of course it is, as malawians we should take pride in where we come from malawi is a beatiful place we need to be discussing important issues and taking action to make a difference. here are some qoutes that people posted.im sure it doesnt take only me to notice how shallow they are. before you read anything i want you to take time and read this first
oh god bless our land of malawi keep it a land of peace put down each and every enemy hunger disease envy join together all our hearts as one that we will be free from fear bless our leaders each and every one and mother malawi
other peoples views We really admire that you are in the continent next to heaven but we are fed up with the pics you are putting on the malawiana. All the pics are just showing you drinking beers beers beers , weddings weddings weddings , all the time now be real. I am suggesting that you put pics showing where you are working ,your work colleagues, the pics specifically showing the mileages of your recently acquired car(s) hope it is not over 300,000 KM! and finally show us some of the people you are taking care of. Ndatha wanu
micahj3k says: what is it to you what car one drives or how many kms its got that doesnt matter what matters is that they are safe they have a roof over there heads and a car to get them where ever. have you considered the fact that they would like to keep there lives private why would they just want to start telling you stuff. and it doesnt matter where they are working as long as theyre making that money. come on people wake up into reality.
other peoples views Abromovich I commend you for your posting. I personally agree with you but the reality is that even though a lot of Malawians in the U.S. struggle, none of them will ever admitt it. Instead they try to out-do each other and try to live way beyond their means. I guess a lot of Malawians are that shallow even though one would expect us to not be that shallow since we come from one of the poorest countries in the world.
micahj3k says: i think people should be able to live the way the feel best suits them because first and fore most u dont know if its beyond their means.
other peoples views i agree with you mate,no wonder my father didnt want me to go to the us!like i said, alot of them are WANNABES!sitikuti musamavale ma akademikisi anuwo!look smart and presantable.come to the UK and see.OSATI UMVE WANUWO.and i bet alot of you are THICK HEADS!

micahj3k says: hey dont gimme that crap about living inthe uk i live here too when we are writing stuff we should remeber theres a vast majority of malawians living in diff places we are not the only ones. bcause they are some malawians who live here inthe uk and dress like they are from outer space and not of this planet remember there is always two sides to every story.
other peoples views uhmm so whats your argument???? so people should post pics of funerals and sh*t?? wtf...:( please if you want to see how peeps r struggling go to wwww.google.com and type in "pictures of struggling africans"...
micahj3k says: gosh how can u be so cruel. i cant belive those words came out of your mouth as an african, do you think all those poor people or deprived people choose to live like that i am so disgusted and appalled by those comments.
other peoples views Funny how someone can complain about how the comparatively few Malawians living in the USA are struggling so much when probably 90% of Malawians living in Malawi struggle on less than $2 a day!
micahj3k says: this is such a shame i really thought we as malawians had some sense in us how can we even scoop this low
the person who wrote our anthem made no mistake we need to really think of the words and see if we as indivinduals are any diifferent
oh god bless our land of malawi keep it a land of peace put down each and every enemy hunger disease envy join together all our hearts as one that we will be free from fear bless our leaders each and every one and mother malawi
after reading this have you thought of how alot of malawians are full of jealousy envy hatred we need to keep the peace not to be hating on each other love thy neighbour as thy self.

There is no need to wish or to beg for anything more than you already have. whether you in Uk or where ever, common guys?
i see others are dissing uk others malawi etc...... hey who gives a ****? - do the best for yourself and the people around you - full stop..... posers etc.... our time (i say our - cause others might take me for a poser) will come, and if we messing up we'll have no one to blame but ourselves....
Do you really expect that you can experience true value without giving and living value yourself?
The abundance of your life is real and it has no limit. So why ever invest your faith and your hope in those things that rust and crumble and decay? limos in weddings etc.. i like the limo bit... he he he he!!! i think its funny - but part of me is wanting to pick a fight for a laugh... common then......
Go instead with what is real, with what is lasting, with what can never be taken away.
am out of here - and oi - you negative people chill out and enjoy life where ever you are....
Poor fellow, you really sound like a typical frustrated Malawian who is always concetrating on the negatives. I dont blame you, its understandable since at the age of 25 you still can,t afford to live by yourself because its going to take you 6 months to save for a mattress, a year to save for a bed, at least 3 years to save for a car. of course a cooker or a microwave will be out of question and you are going to opt for a mbaula or those small stoves with twin coils. So hey, buddy, I dont blame you, when you start picking on these young guys in the USA who are enjoying what they have earned and didn't not necessarily enherit from their parents like you are always hoping to do. Perhaps you should post your pictures too. Like one of those where you are sitting at a Store's khonde waiting for the tailor to finish making that suit for you or the one you are fighting with all those people trying to get into the minibus.
Dont be a player hater "Abraham". Just go and get your Visa and join the band wagon
MICAHJ3K: Can you aslo summerise the above for us and tell us your opinion it seems zinthu tikuziwonera mbali imodzi.
