Ngwazi,
Officially this 'fool' has not yet crossed the floor considering that his party has not yet been registered and the mere fact that he resigned from the DPP. As such the law cannot take effect on history, but rather whats on the ground. The guy is more less in UDF or he might preffer calling himself 'independent'. I mean he is no man's property at the moment! Then the UDF politickin machinery has opted not to include him on the victims list, then who will....the DPP?

You might need to re-read the "interpretation"of section 65 as given by the Supreme court judges and then you will understand that he crossed the floor  and its not a matter of him registering his party or not.Actually by registering another party and him being in that party,he is in double trouble because the interpretation is clear that one can actually "cross" the floor even when he joins a party which is not represented in parliament .You might also be interested to note that Uladi Mussas name is on the original petition submitted by the UDF to the Speaker and nothing has changed, they did not remove it.The only two names that were/have been spared are Bob Khamisa and Davies Katsonga but the Chipoka MPs name is there.weirdface

That's like saying a person who steals something and decides to return it to its rightful owner a few months later didn't commit theft to start with. Come to think about it, Mussa's actually crossed the floor twice now, hasn't he?

But guys, the offence becomes less serious if the stolen items have been returned to the rightfull owner, other than the other fella who chooses to keep it! even the learned judges will not give you a stiff pernalty.

But it still remains that the crime was committed. The perpetrator would still be accountable for it. With crime, the judge could reduce a sentence after take mitigating factors into account, however in the case of Mussa, the consequence of crossing the floor is absolute, i.e. you can't have a 'reduced' declaration of an MP's seat vacant. I don't think the fact that he changed his mind counts for anything. In fact, it might mean that he crossed the floor twice (did he, anyone?).

ha ha ha ha!!!!!! infact he has so far changed three times. From UDF to DPP then to independent and now to MPP an organisation of political in nature though outside parliament.
