I used to hold this guy in high esteem but am now starting to have my worries over his type of administration, it was said elsewhere that he has to get away from the likes of Chibowa, Kamphinda Banda and the old guards at FAM and SULOM un fortunately he is turning a deaf ear to all and sundry and has been "properly" absorbed by these prophets who had nothing to show the nation in terms of football for the past decade or so until Walter came in with his ideas and asked fellow marketers in town to help him secure sponsorship in the mainstream marketing style, the first cup was designed in a such way that it takes a lot of companies to sponsor various categories of the cup i.e jerseys etc. But now after securing a 25 million kwacha sponsorship he starts to think he is home and dry mind you apart from this cup there is nothing else and he is stuck with the very same "kahunas" who failed us in the first place.
Look at the TNM sponsorship (Chikaonda is now in charge as Press Corp boss) can we have an assurance that its going to continue beyond the agreed 3 yrs? Rememba Chikaonda is the one who pulled the plug on Press Cup and Carlsberg cup. What is the football association doing apart from attending seminars abroad (of course partly funded) but they still get a little something out of the already dry coffers of FAM
Another worrisome thing is this idea of swapping kit sponsors like a pair of dirty socks, today its Aqua sports mawa Adidas then we are hearing of Umbro (courtesy of the new coach) all this leaves a lot to be desired do we have any sense of direction?
I dont want to press the panick button yet, but its sending jitters down my spine after all that i was made to believe he is worth the task.
