ARE WE ACCELERATING IT?

Of all species that have existed on Earth, 99.9 percent are now extinct. Many of them perished in five cataclysmic events.

According to a recent poll, seven out of ten biologists think we are currently in the throes of a sixth mass extinction. Some say it could wipe out as many as 90 percent of all species living today. Yet other scientists dispute such dire projections.

Lets consider how one species -- Homo sapiens -- may be triggering a modern mass extinction.

It's scary to note in the next thousand years or so man may cease to exist as some species have. The dinosour is one good example but last night i kept looking back at all the species that disappeared some generations back. But my big question is: is man increasing the risk of extinction?

Man's daily activities are the main cause of other species' exinction. And now, the global warming has shaken the whole world because the consequences are obvious: same topic. HIV said to be a virus created by man(scientist), and see how it is wiping out thousands of people everyday.
Seriously, man is close to extinction.

Amikhe apepeseletu, i do not give a damn about global warming for the sore reason that it is harboured by hypocrisy of the highest order. Governments especially the UK are heavily cashing in from all corners in the name of global warming but if you look at it, they produce less polution as compared to China which is doing the equivalent of nothing about it!

The only thing that shakes Amikhe to the core as to our exinction is the number of nuclear weapons on land ,sea and in the atmosphere waiting for some lunatic to push a button! Let us not forget the ones on the production line (advanced ones i.e. longer range and wider impact!) Billions of dollars research, while a country like Malawi only needs a fraction of it to eradicate poverty and some ailments.

It saddens Amikhe to see us selling them our Uranium for some pocket change! Shame on those policy makers.. Why not impliment a ten to fifteen yearplan and mine it ourselves. Stupid leaders who have an acute deficiency of vision!

thats after child spacing campaign in the west but when you face the east the opposite is true.We are currently fighting to reduce death rate and  the result.......
