Why is the crime rate escallating at an alarming rate in SA? Hardly a day goes without a murder, a heist and all that (mpakana bombing ATM's), maybe the heavy hand of the law is no longer heavy or they simply choose to look away. And somebody elsewhere said Malawi has a high crime rate.


Pliz tell me the inside info.

malawi has no crime .......compared to SA ....


ths place is going down ......nicely .cops spend their time harrasing illegal immigrants ....you get the picture ....you just have to watch your back thats all...you can not walk around at night ...like in malawi  ...when am driving ,i put ma bag in the boot ......and freak out @ traffic lights .....cos there is always these pple walking about .


me and ma hubby decided to stop going to clubs ...its better to go to a pub and grill.../lounge /@ home .we lost one of our friends   @ a  club .he was shot cos he talked to someones chick.


the issue of blowing ATMs   now its getting  worse .....but in any case ...you have to know that sa has the highest cash in transit robberies .now they are even attacking ....the depots (they can get about 30 -40 million in one night.....


but what were thy thinking putting atms in alex /soweto and tembisa .its not even safe for a person to withdraw money ,not safe for the guards loaing the money ..and sure isnt safe to leave the atm  machine @ night without any security ....

My asking was not just on the scenario of ATM's in soweto but what is the causative agent? Poverty i dont know, who are the players, blacks and whites ratio that kind of stuff,SA is multi racial so there should be thieves from both ends.

smash and grabs   ....mozambiqueans


robberies @ gun point south africans


drugs and the rest --- believed to be nigerians


rapes -all races my dear


cash in transit heists - -this is also believed to be the ex soildiers....cos of the intelligence


used .


according to south african citizens who are really blind  .........every crime in sa is caused by foreighners.
