1.I once brought in an issue about how our embassy staff are slothful. Follow link below.

But we were surprised by the visit of the Ambassador during 6th July weekend in South Bend. Everybody was happy to meet him and thought that was cool. And his speech too was very encouraging. I liked the part of openning 'dollar account', which will be beneficial to both pple living abroad and the Mw government. This is one of the points I talked about in my early posting. I hope this is the beginning of our co-operation.

On the lighter note, the ambassors visit was 'hijacked' by church pple. They never gave our diplomat breathing space. They made sure that the honourable person doesnt leave their eye sight. Probablely, they heard that the honourable amachotsa umodzi umodzi wamame. You church pple be careful, mudzatiphela munthu ndi ludzu. Next time probablely he will send a sober representive (ngati alipo ku embassy).

And again to you church pple, let me remaind you the importance of reading situations and simple judgement. The ambasssador was here for national/state function not church function. Lets delegate responsiblities: If the visitor ndiwachakumwa, muuzeni adze kwaine and I will give him/her a beer and chicken, but if ndi wachigodigodi then pwetekeni nawo makeke ndi sobo.

Trust me, next time, when disaster strike back home and the embassy asks for donations/contributions, alot of pple will respond well (including myself, as long as there is accountability)

2. Couple weeks/months ago somebody wrote about africans using terrorism acts to achieve economical goals/power or use it as a mouth-piece. Few days later I heard somebody bombed a catholic church in malawi. Am not sure if this is the type of terror acts which will empower africans (or if this is what the author meant). May be it was 'testing-testing 1!2!3!' and the real thing is in pipe line.

Dont underrate the power of Malawiana.net.
