In a dramatic change of events, all the cams and breatelisers including the police have been forced out of the road. This is after discovering that they were operating illegally. The question is why did we rush to buy these gadgets just to pack them for another six months until the next sitting of parliament to enact the bills.
The sad news is that all this period police were collecting fines,it was unlawful. What state is our country?

I thought your point is rotten and smells badly. We have to feel sorry for all the policy makers in our country. I am convinced that you are uncomfortable with these developments ;law makers have hijacked the speed cams . You know better what they are . We are tired of all the killings on our roads and its high time we started arriving alive.Excuse me, do we really have any recipe for a successful transition towards democracy within Malawi?

The opposition is waging a war with a voter, we have become grass.
I dont think so
This just shows how some of the bosses in the offices dont know why they are there. How can they just decide to go headlong into a project without evaluations? i thought the fines go to the Govt and how can govt get revenue without knowing from where and for what? The individual (Hon R Dzanjalimodzi) and not the opposition scored a point here, he went on it alone teaching them guys to respect the procedures on implementing some of these useless fines we pay.
The system of imminent fines is what leads to bribes.

If the police is operating illegally what has that got to do with the oppostion?
Maybe i dont get you right are you implying that in taking out the gadgets the voter is disadvantaged? Malawi should not be lawless just because somebody rushed to buy gadgets that are expensive and motorists have to pay dearly. Sorry mate am happy they have been shown the exit.

The fines that are charged are not eenacted, secondly the cash collected by the police was being done illegally ie MK10000 for overspeeding. In short they would have taken these bills to parliament long before purchasing the gadgets.I dont hate the gadgets but they smell fish the way we bought them.

is pestering unlawfull motorist illegal? i dont think infact those boy racers deserve only mk10000, may be with xtra 6months down. hey do we really care what bikers go through on our roads, what about minibus drivers do they care of other road users?
a simple error in judgement on our policy and law makers should not be an excuse for carelessness on our roads
