kind of hard to believe, wolud the same apply if civil servants wanted to go and grace a nyau dance in kawale? Would they knock off 30 min earlier? What a bad precedence we are setting when katopola gets tough with the lot they call her all sorts of names and threaten to beat her up,funny legislators. look at the calibre of the MP's moving and supporting the motion they have nothing to offer in the house apart from soccer poor parliament.
They are human.I think its better for them to watch football and learn some patriotism from some common peaple than wasting time on trivia and childish jokes.

How is watching a football game going to teach them patriotism. Its just a game..
Glad to know that they have their priorities in place huh? Its a bit like Congress in the US just votedfor a pay increase at the same time not to increase the minimum wage.
Funny type of priorities, considering their roles in society.
They have done exactly what you are saying raising their perks and the minimum wage remains the same, then fool them with a tax relief, the less earning people get a tax relief of K 6,000 while the high income earners get a 100 times more in the spirit of them re-investing in the country, in turn what do they do they are all driving the latest vehicles on the market, going for holiday in far of countries, i know its their right but getting a push from the legislators, its like the poor and the government are paying for their lavishing holiday. What is that going to assist a poor man who has to pay taxes in almost everything they purchase (Surtax on this and that, levies (maize, road, budget assistance and all the hocus pocus) in fuel leading to high transport cost) the domino effect is clearly cut here the same K 6,000 tax free is going to be heavily taxed indirectly.
This cant be survival of the fittest when the odds are weighing to one side!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Abre I know its just a game , but what am trying to say is at least they can see some peaple representing thier countries, you and I know they dont represent the electorate really.Maybe am wrong but the bottom line is, our parliament is childish.

I dont believe that by adjourning parliament deliberations to watch a football festive match potrays a childish and immature activity. Why didnt you try to opt for a different mode of expressing what you wanted to say about it ? Your choice of vocabulary is rather misrepresenting the actual facts. How dare you imply watching the Ghana vs Brazil world cup game by our parliamentarians infantile behaviour? Dont say maybe but you are wrong in your presentation of the facts themselves. Its all to do with BLACK POWER and i dont see them having an intermission to watch Ukraine play against Australia.
