Where are the human rights?

The government of Malawi should stop acting irresponsibly. Harassing peaceful demonstrators wasn’t a smart move. What massage are they conveying to the Muslims? That they have no right to protest? Those caricatures were meant to hurt Muslims and we had the right to show grievance. Many foreign African Heads of state condemned these cartoons, but did not deter people to protest. Unlike in our country that is regarded as a fanatic move. It was a sector of Malawian citizens protesting not the entire nation, because it seems as if they were apprehensive of loosing Denmark as a donor. We also wonder if the move was a political reprimand, since the mainstream of the Muslims are all for then ruling party. Inquiring minds wonder if this is the beginning of dictatorship, since human rights are being abused.

For some odd reason even 'though I don't believe a shred of that cartoon rubbish, I did see them and I can understand what is making muslims a little angry. I only wish that they showed the same anger when foreign troops invade and kill other muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Still to someone like me that finds the concept of religion midly primitive and inconsistent to modern day thought and society cohesion I must say that both sides are wrong on this issue.

Of course it's about politics. So is suicide bombing and 9/11. The motivations are political. Religion is neither that catalyst nor the motivation.
