the sad developments that are happening in zimbabwe can not go without our comments, looking at the supporters of Mugabe on this forum. He has raised salaries and this has forced the RBZ to print 60trillion zim dollars to curtail the raise to be effected from 1/ 5/06 amid souring commodity prices.Crop yields are dropping every year despite the land being given to local pipo and prostitution is on the rise, athing which will leave aids scourge rising to abnomality. Is Mugabe the right person to lead that country now, actually looking at the age and mess he has created.

My humanity shall never ever be dependent on the acceptance of the white mans hypocrisy and discrimination stand. What is this new thing in your face that you perceive that Mugabe is doing that this whiteman hasnt done to hurt the black pride? Why do you feel and think so fat about comrade Mugabe owning the blame for all that is crippling Zim today? Britain and America want to show the world how powerful they are .......they control everything that moves and breathe in this world. In Zim a white man is here to prove a point. We cant stand down , we have to seat up like Mugabe : God knows when we shall sing the song of equality and justice in this world.
as much as i support one half of mugabe's actions i really deplore the suffering he has caused his own people,he took a wrong route to become a hero, right now zimbabwe is in the state of chaos and anarchy, despite all the support he gets from other african leaders the man has lost the whole plot i think its a theme for african leaders,as they get old they lose track of their best judgement.think of how many zimbabweans die trying to make ends meet.he has plunged african politics into a state of disrepute once again, lets hope his trip to malawi wont affect our current relations with the IMF.i have a bad feeling about it.

I hope this 82yr old man has got a plan.He blames hunger in zim on drought but we all know that most natives are not qualified to run commercial farms. I think a nations prosperity does not depend on ethnocentric approach but rather the best person for the jobregardless of color and nationality. Mr Mugabe seems to have had a half backed plan.
Nobody wants the Zim$$ right now i really wonder how Malawi will benefit from this relationship.
There was a cartoon about a man going to a bank with a wheelbarrow full of Zim$$, while waiting in line he had to answer the call of nature, when he came back he found his money on the floor and the wheelbarrow was gone.
“People are under oppression in Zimbabwe because of the country’s infringing laws on freedom of association and the liberty to gather,” said Newa adding “even the time we were there some college students were arrested for gathering to discuss their issues”. He said Zimbabwe has a Public Holders and Security Act, which does not allow gatherings of people because government suspects the meetings are held for sinister motives. Newa said the Malawian NGOs, which came back on Monday, also had an opportunity to verify the situation in some of Zimbabwe’s villages and found out that even the people’s social services are down. “We are saying it is not true for government to claim that we (NGOs) do not know anything. We have the facts and we are going to take action,” he said.
Nyasaland, what do you say of this.
