If some people feel offended by what has been written on this discussion forum, all they have to do is " communicate" and I usually oblige and remove the article in question regardless of my opinion about its contents.

However, "my" opinion is that personal and private issues are better off left "private" as the word suggests. I definetely would not like to see this forum turn into a gossip column for every Jack and Jill to hang their dirty linen. We all have our skeletons and lets just keep them locked wherever we have them hidden.

Please, do understand that I do not just decide to remove any entry on this forum without being told by the concerned parties. Otherwise  all entries remain untouched. It will probably also surprise most people  that I do not visit this forum on a regular basis as I am supposed to because of other constraints (especially time) so I  pretty much depend on visitors to email or call me if there is any concern.

If any one of you has ever asked me to remove his/her entry and I denied the request please come clean on this forum.

itotally agree with JC sikuti coz anayambisa this forum and then  azikhala pa computer everytime checking wots happeing NO....like wot happened with the Mandas...as he is saying he removed those articles coz the concerned parties told him to do so....if you want start yours and then each and everytime uzichita check wot people are writing.....

Truth,

You make it sound like its an easy task to mantain a site like this one. What you probably don't realise is that apart from this forum there is also the Malawiana group, Friends Corner and Friends Corner that need equal attention from me, not to mention other technical issues that I have to address too. I wonder how many of you would have that much of time to go through all the entries  on a regular basis.  You should also realise that I am also a full time employee some where else (who clocks in least 40 hours every week), full time student and have a family that seeks my attention too. But like you said that's my problem and I realise that too that is why I do not go about crying about it. Trust me it has occured to me several times, that perhaps its high time I let go of this site and let some people with time on their side handle it, but last time I tried to do that, not even one soul responded to my advert. Perhaps what keeps me going ,for now, is the love for my country and the hope that I can make a small contribution to enrich the lives of a few Malawians. It really makes my day when people write me to say that they have managed to connect with some people whom they lost contact etc etc. Of course there is also a bunch of people who think otherwise like Nyasaland who sent me this note (not censored):

To Jack. Youre not god that you should listen to every Jack and Jill problems. We are here to 'discuss' public matters/pple not private life. Things are cool right now. You dont have to change anything,  unless you want to.

And to you Nyasaland. Thats too personal attack. Nkhani yake yiti? Why cant you create your own site and proscribe whoever you wonna to.

If you get personal insults from forum members then you're doing something right.

I know this is a thankless task but we are happy that you've helped create a Malawian community that people like Nyasaland and Sibweni and Ayatollah (watch him appear now that I've mentioned him) and Game and Ladyb and Sexmadsists (what happened to her) and Chichi and Jones_1 and YTP can air opinions.

Keep it up and as it is with Malawians you'll always get people who are horrible and (dare I say) jealous.

JRC, dont worry about the insults, these guys probably dont even know what the real meaning for those words are. they have been watching too many movies. You are doing a great job considering all the responsilities you have. Some people are just ungrateful.
