Abre, this is real on the ground and yet our president is spending MK5million a day on his country wide trips. And he makes at least six trips a week. The price of maize on the parrarel market is now at US$20 Per 50kg bag and there's no grain at ADMARC Depots.Hunger situation is worsening with each dawn.
I hope the impeachment talk is just a talk, but if it translates into reality, then we will see more than what is on the ground now.
I visited some remote areas in central region the past two days and traces of hunger are visible.

It's one thing to blame western exploitation for the problems in Malawi, but there's also an element of recklessness and greed on the part of African leaders. I think we allow them to get away with too much. The lack of accountability.
Pope it is nice to get first hand information from someone who has been there and assessing the situation. Sometimes we tend to think that the western media is exaggerating. The price of maize has risen so much. What a shame that others who probably foresaw the situation and bought a lot of maize are now out there to make profits out of the misery of others.

A suggestion guys,we need to write the president a letter on the hunger crisis or we may address the august house. The situation is getting worse and worse by the day, more girls are opting attending brothels, the aged are moving from shop to shop in Blantyre,Lilongwe as beggers. The number of job seekers(house maids) has increased. You may have the money but there is no maize at ADMARC.
