I take it you were reading this forum all along and only decided to return because I hollered at you. Either that or it was a coincidence that you just happened to be browsing through after a few weeks away to find my message.

Anyway, the philosophical mistake you make is that you refer to my stuff as "belief". It is not belief. Or faith. Or anything of that sort. Why? I am the most sceptical person you'll ever meet. I doubt everything till you can prove it. Or at least come out with a clear theory that can be verified.

That is how I lost my religion. Because I studied history, philosophy and of course science. Take evolution for example. The reason why I say that it is more than just a theory is simple. The knowledge that we got from Darwin has beed applied to not only genetics but all other branches of science. The results have given us the knowledge to cure diseases, clone animals, regenerate tissue, even understand hereditery syndromes that we never knew anything about a decade ago. And the knowledge grows everyday. Research is happening as I write this. It's amazing to learn how far we are getting in science. And only someone who is ignorant to it says things like you guys do.

We use technology everyday, all the time. Take medicines constantly but never stop to wonder the amount of research and development that goes into something like a cell phone. Someone who has never seen anything like it would translate a plane or a TV from a superstitious perspective, but a technician would just laugh at it because they know how it works.
