A president apita ku America kungosiya chipwirikitI basi. Gwanda is out on bail and civil servants have returned to work after being assured by govt that they will look into their concerns.......... though I doubt. If we are not careful we shall be worse than Zimbabwe.

The paragraph above has been sent to me by a dear friend of mine who works for the press but i just hope that the situation wont be as worse as he fears it to get to.

I fear smoke without fire.Alot of allegations have been made.My fear is if these allegations turn out to be the Saddam ones where FBI,CIA,MOSSAD ARE FAILING TO PROVE THE EXISTENCE  of the  plant let alone the raw materials. Some news are for fun!!!!!!!!

Pope, what do you mean you fear smoke without fire?......I strongly take no sides when it comes to politics but in this case something is going on........how can somebody be arrested for calling the president a brute? or maybe there are other reasons which werent mentioned and us 'allegators" are just out to blacken his excellency???!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As much as i can, i avoid politics cos we all know how dirty a game it is but the state of Zimbabwe scares me and i hate to see our warm heart of Africa slowly but surely heading the same way!!!!!!!!!  So the civil servants are claiming as well?!!!!!

Oh the things we want to believe!!!!!!

My dear, things are different on the ground. The foolish CSTU has no direction, they are divided, and as am writing now they are back to work just because strike  would deny their monthend take home imagine! Gwanda's arrest was political, pure politics. If you read my post "FOR AYATOLLAH" It is what Bingu did, anangommanga galu pa chingwe kuti asaopsedze ana while the president is out.All I can see is political hung_over from our recycled politicians that makes all tis noise.

For your info, Idont support this DPP thing which is also full of recycled and obsolete polititians neither do I support the existence of cheap zimbabwean labourers at the state house.I thought malawians are entitlted to cook for a malawian president? And the issue of a zimbabwean being posted to a malawian embassy, who can support all this.

Bingu has taken advantage because malawians are peace loving people.Even if he becomes a dictator they wouldnt mind as long as they have peace, even if it  means starving to death peacefully.

Yes there  is political tension in the country but i don't think it is as worse as zimbabwe .I was in Zimbabwe  last week and the situation is a sorry state imagine buses stopped long time ago because there is no diesel in the country the mode transport that is there are articulated trucks, people who are going down south africa use this vehicles and not to mention the houses that were destroyed its indeed worse .But in our case we would agree with you that there some misunderstanding but am sure with time it will be sorted .Some times it's good when situation are tough you have to be tough as well that's only way people can judge you whether you are a principled man or not .When Gwanda was fired from government everybody wondered what will happen next ? where will bingu get his support ? But the reasons of his dismissal were genuine and people agreed with the president's decision .Gwanda being frustrated started attacking the president so that's why the president had to flex his muscles a lit bit to show him that he is the man in charge .Whether the Gwanda is out on bail is not a problem but the message has been conveyed.

As for the civil  servants the government has asked them to go back on the negotiation table so that's why the strike was called off.Let them discuss further and we will see what happens then. So let wait and see but i don't think we as worse as some quarters would want to portray the situation.
