Take time to enjoy life this is the only life u have. Life is too short so lets enjoy some good clean fun as long as we are alive. So when u see pple enjoy celebrate with them dont hate. Lets apreciate the good things there doing in there lives. If u have no time to take photos like lets not knock other pple down fo having time to.

God says enjoy the blessings in your life just remember where all those blessings are coming from.

I dont see anything wrong with pple doing this- lets live life after all its not all about fighting the cause or having this issue to deal with or that we are better then them b/c we spend our time doing other things- the benfit of these photos is that we see other malawians do their thing - its always nice to see people enjoying themselves - there is no shame in their game - (skimpy outfits & boobs popping out aside) - LET US LIVE LIFE - ENJOY LIFE !

Malawians in the USA , I think may have a better sense of solidarity and actaully enjoy getting together every once in a while - We are communities of support for the most part - when **** goes down - their is the community - I have heard from other Malawians in other areas that they dont see each other b/c the mistrust eachother - lets ENJOY each others company ! Also i think JRC is in the US. he probably has better access to pple in the US... your more likely to see Indiaana folk here then any one else.

just to add on to what abre les ojos has written,have you ever wondered why nkhani ku america among the Malawian community ikaphulika sichedwa kufika kumudzi or pa forum pano?One thing I have learned about our compatriots on the other side of tha Atlantic is that amachezelana ali yense ali ndi "kampeni ku msana",they just await for someones fall/mistake then basi ti ma mini VOA(Voice of America)kicks into action.I am not saying its every Malawian who does this but the majority are involved.

The pictures always shows happy and smiling malawians indeed but nkhani zimakambidwa ku ma gathering ngati amenewa zambiri zimakhala zonyogodolana,nothing personal but thats just my observation.

Is it a Malawian thing that people always try to look at the negative side of things? Try to be positive sometimes, for instance try to look at the pictures on this site as a positive thing .ie unity, relaxation or just simple fun .

Most of my friends in the UK tell me that its almost impossible to bring Malawians together for the mere reason that they are scared of each other because of back biting and most people amakonda kunenerana. So essentially its like living in the old days of Kamuzu when you couldn's trust your own neighbour. It doesn't surprise me, therefore, where you folks in the UK are trying to undermine the unity that Malawians in the US relatively have.

Most of these people work hard throughout the year and the Get Togethers gives them a chance to uncoil and relieve some of that stress. The key word is STRESS.

I think its a good thing when people get together chat, drink, eat, play, exchange experiences, meet old friends and perhaps make new friends.
