as i said before on this forum, Bingu and his party are the best of the bad and rotten bunch of malawi politictians.its time for the young generation to move in,we can destroy and rebuild a new and transparent malawi if we can stick together call me a dreamer but i think anything is possible if we unite.Bingu is a conniving liar,who came through the back door and became president.

The young people can start their own struggle and in a matter of time these old wrinkled minds will be in the dust bin of history.for how long will the people of malawi be terrorised by the same old politictians who saw the back of colonialists 40 years ago,when Bingu appeared on the scene of malawi politics he worked out a strategy that deceived malawians,he decapitated all his opponents in a move to stop corruption when he was only leveling the field for smooth running of his evil plan.

if we join hands his first term will be his ides of march,then he will see daggers flying from all corners,all these politictians have a distinct version of likeness to each other,when they are faced with a challenge they all run for cover,am not including the challenge they get from the legistrature which they manipulate but from the outside force they dont have a clue about.so if the generation of young and capable malawians abroad can mobilise and embark on a journey wreck and havoc all the systems that operate to protect the corruptors we can win back our coutry and make it a better place.

Is it insulting to the intelligence of the Malawian people for Presidents to lie etc...well apparently the Malawian people never do anything about it so maybe it is right in line with the intelligence of the Malawian people - lets face it - we are a nation of all talk and not action and where no one takea accountability - weather Bingu is in fact doing a witch hunt or not thefact remains that the crimes were committed by those people- lets not forget that.

i must say,i am one of the malawians who got deceived by this president,cos as much as we knew that his victory was questionable,we atleast gave him a chance after hearin the plans he had for our country!!

Again though- your post said 'its been rumoured' - perhaps we shouldnt be too quick to believe it- rumours may have come from the political opponents - So far the WB is putting theri faith in our president - we should too. "RE: What is this world comin to??" More like "Where is Malawi going?". There's a clarification to this Maybach story.Apparently no Maybach has been ordered.Govt just has 'quotations'. That's if Goodall Gondwe is to be believed.

And I read elsewhere that in fact Govt is gonna use insurance money (off a Merc Muluzi wrote off in an accident last year) to finance the purchase of the new limo.But then why 3 limos?

And what bad timing ! The 'Masters' are meeting in Gleaneagles.We want our debt cancelled.And we are contemplating buying state of the art limos !

The Prez does not need a new car.I think Kamuzu burdened us with loads of cars we don't need any way !

If our Prez and his cohorts want to be the Nouveau Maybach Tribesmen [apologies to Ngugi wa Thiong'o !], we simply don't have the money for it !

I AGREE WITH THE TERM "SYCOPHANTICAL NOSTALGIA" IT THOROUGHLY DEFINES ANY MISGUIDED YEARNINGS OF THE OLD DAYS OF KAMUZU.

IF ONLY (AND THIS IS WISHFUL THINKING AS WE HAVE NEVER HAD IT IN AFRICA) OUR LEADERS COULD BE MORE PRINCIPLED AND RIDE A NORMAL CAR JUST SO THAT 1 MORE CHILD CAN HAVE MEDICINE TO LIVE, THEN WE HAVE HOPE.

indeed its time this generation said enough is enough to these old time politicians,they were there in 1958 when Kamuzu arrived and are still controlling us today.They dont have the welfare of the people at heart hence they are spending those sums on cars when the ordinary Malawian is starving,sleeping without food and lining the streets to watch in awe as they pass with these cars.These politicians are after nothing but personal poverty alleviation,their age makes them not look at the future but on day to day basis.Gwanda is 75,Tembo 78,Bingu 72,Bakili 64 and these are OAP(Old Age Persons),the ones that are given freedom passes by councils to travel free,all they are thinking about is enriching themselves so that when they finally retire they should continue drinking "tea with milk"

The difference between them and us is that we have many years to come(God willing and if you miss the AIDS minibus) and we would not want to be reminded of our failures in 30 years time or spend time in jail for being corrupt whilst we were serving the people of Malawi.We will build a better Malawi that will benefit everyone and not just the select few,I propose that we form a party(seriously guys),the party should target the Youth as the country trully belongs to them(not MR27,thats nothing).We are tired of being told "you are the future leaders or you are the leaders of tomorrow",when is our tomorrow?and again tomorrow never comes!we are tired of watching a select few plunder our economy and enriching themselves when we are meant to share the resources equally.I feel so strong about this that I am even willing to come out in the open with my name,I would not mind telling those who would be interested in such aparty my real name,ndatopa ndi ulemu,ndatopa ndi kundidyela masuku pamutu.I am also proposing the name OPP(Ordinary Peoples Party) in the interim,power to the youth and we can use the Black Panther symbol to show who and what we stand for(with permission from Black Panther of course),any takers?

If you did the crime pay the crime. political witch hunting is counter productinve yes, that is why they shouldnt just go after certain pple that commited the crime - go after all of them. But dont blame presidents for going after people that did wrong - that is counter productive- the problem is that all these people are still in the system. they just recycle themselves between parties. They need to be standing for ideologies and be loyal to beliefs not to parties. Bingu should not have formed a party , he should have remained an independant if he wanted to fight corruption for real. Part of fighting corruption menas going after friends and enemies. This dont go withc hunting thing is the reason why Idi Amin lives comfortably in Saudi Arabi now - he commited crimes but pple said - oh screw that witch hunting thing and he was allowed to escape - its a ****ty world out there.

Black P Idi Amini died in 2003 of natural causes.You said that Bingu would have remained independent, as a politician you need support in the parliament and this depends on how many MPs you have in your party. You remember the issue about removing the Inspector General of police.

Members of the furum a big job we have at hand. I do believe that change is something that has to be done systematically. Most people believe that taking these people out of their position is the solution but its only the begining of the journey.

Whether we like it or not these people have some positive contributions to the malawian society. As young people we will have to learn or may have already learned the good stuff from these old timers.

people in the uk will contact ngwazi then we can make arrangements how we can meet up to discuss our goals and appoint leadership.lets do this a soon as possible.those who dont have transport dont worry as i can fix up a minibus thats never in use right now for party purposes,if we meet up we can come up with ideas at face value and start loading our armour for a major operation on these corruptors.

Sepu - my bad - i forg ot the Amin died - i remember i was shocked when it happened - but anyways, before he died he was living a life of luxuary.

There are a lot of independants in the Malawi parliament right now - he could have gained there support also. Malawian politicians are simple - when the wind changes - they change too- if he wer to remain independant - Malawians would have been confused about party loyalship they would have had to become independant and would stop sucking up to their parties leaders b/c they would not benefit by getting a position or anything else that they sought - think about the ramifications of having and indep. president in an African govt. that would send the traditional african politics on a different level.

I think that the name ordinary peoples party - is good but lets think long temr about the ramification of that name- naughty by nature had a song out called opp - (yeah u know me) - it would be so easy for journanlists to say we steal , are coruppt etc.. b/c we liveon Other Peoples Property - i vote for a name change - lets brain storm - Party for the Advancemnt of Malawians - PAM, Malawi Peoples Movement - MPM , Malawi Renaissance Party MRP- Free Malawi Party FMP (free malawi from the old blood) he he he - but Sepu has a point a lot of the old bloods are victims of the systmen too - I think there are some old bloods that we can learn from but they must be willing to learn from us - the worst situation we can have is a whole bunch of talented and intellectual people without experience - to make a meanginful change we must all do our part to attain some type of experience in our own worlds - weather it be joining an organisation - non-profit- a college school party etc.. etc... you dont have to be running the show , but u would be there also as an observer.
