Chim,

One is left with nothing much to think about when the pictures hit the cornea. Very strange things are really hapening in this world of ours. Let us hope for the best out of this.

Words fail me. All I can say is WAWA and I am wishing them all the best. Truth be told, the pictures tell a very disturbing story.

DRC,

I do agree, the pictures give u little more to think about, and probably put a different perspective on the story. Others may argue that the ladies should have seen what was coming? Perhaps it wasn't rape? i don't know....just something to think about i guess....i'm not implying anything, but a picture says a thousand words!

it keeps getting better!!!  it appears our Malawian lady is a 'madam', but mind u, the Sun isn't the most reputable magazine in the UK (probably on the same league as the Enquirer), but then again there is no smoke without fire.....i think i'll be following this story with great interest!!! Lets hope the revelations about this lady do not paint a bad picture of our motherland!!

Well according to the news this morning on BBC and ITV she has tried to sell her story to one of our down market tabloids (probably the Sun or Daily Star) for £65,000. Not trying to judge but if she was really raped she would be concentrating on get them prosecuted and not selling her story!

So much for simpathy for the lady in the middle of the "alleged rape" as the papers are now putting it.I do not condone such acts of vile and barbarism.Quite disturbing however are stories that this lady has been a vice madame with contacts in the sex capital of the world, Amsterdam.
Where does one muster the strength to care for a woman alleged to have sold fellow malawians to sex starved monsters?some as young as 14 if to go by whats written in the UK's biggest tabloid,(It is actually a cover story). With all the proceeds of her evil deeds she managed to wriggle out of a court case back in Malawi. Thankfully we are going to be enlighted as she will fail to beat the good old English and we will name and shame her once and for all.
Words of encouragement to Annie Kachinula who bravely came forward to exposed the evil witch through her story and for photographs in The Sun newspaper.Annie, be strong, the world is not enough.

For those who don't live in the UK here is the link for that article in the Sun that Nsato is talking about: http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2004112032,00.html

I wonder how much they paid Annie for the story

All along I thought something was fishy abot this story and now I am convinced that this story is indeed fishy just like the Kobe case. Maybe it,s high time we started having signed contacts before we have sex. Absurd as it may sound but its going to protect us celebrities.

I do not know why everyone is so facinated with this story! I think the story stinks, lets talk about something positive, that will better our lives. All these stories will end up as he say she say unless proven by court! May be there are no scandals in the U.K. that is why you dwell on this subject. They claim they got raped, fine let justice prevail and we wait for the truth. Since you guys care so much, do you know how many rape cases are in Malawi, children for that matter? Lets talk about those instead of these grown women. Lets move on, we have work to do children to feed and beer to drink.

Thanks for the support Akhibula! as for Mbili.....well, we are all entitled to our opinions, so i guess u have every right to make your thoughts known as to what u feel is suitable reading material for this forum. one thing i would argue about though is, what is the point of having a discussion forum where readers are made to feel as though they can't make a contribution, be it positive or negative? maybe u are right and they are no 'scandals' here in the uk, which is why we dwell on this subject as u put it......but how many times do u get a malawian headlining the news in europe (and i purposely said europe cos its been headline news in quite a few countries in europe, as well as in africa!)?? i'm not one to post messages on this forum, but this was an article i thought i'd share with y'all. but seeing you obviously have better things to talk about, maybe u should start us off with an 'intellectual' subject that is more on your level of intellect.....then maybe some of us uneducated and brainless characters with nothing better to do than engage in mindless chatter can perhaps feel we have made a positive contribution to the forum, and maybe if we are lucky, we will actually better our lives!!! to be quite honest, i have no idea how many kids are raped in malawi......but obviously you will be able to fill us in.....u know, u being the one with the good discussion points and all.......and by the way, is it just me, or can u actually choose which discussions u want to be a part of?? i mean if u were not interested in reading about this story, u didnt have to.......anyway, i think i've blabbered on for too long so i'll stop here!!! please don't forget to educate us on the rape situation in malawian......i'm not taking the **** or anything like that....i genuinely want to know.

People People!! enough with this nonsense. Why do y'all have this "feel sorry for me mentality". I'm especially referring to you Chim. When I first started to read your posting I said to myself "now here is someone who has it together", you presented your points and you did a good job if I may add. But then you had to ruin your credibility by using the phrase "...then maybe some of us uneducated and brainless characters..." What was that all about. I don't recall Mbili saying that any of you guys were uneducated and brainless. Kodi basi when someone challenges you with a different point of view, the only way for you to fight back is to make them feel sorry for you? This is exactly why we Malawians have been walked all over by our leaders. When challenged, we have a tendency to curl up in a little corner like a helpless animal. All I'm saying is don't be a punk. You can't make it in this world if you can't defend yourself against those that challenge you!

Chim you seem to be a very nice and intelligent person, why do you look down upon yourself like that? Is it because,  bitter a thing to look into happiness through another man's eyes. Do not call yourself, "uneducated and brainless character with nothing better to do than engage in mindless chatter..". That is unfair to you! They say, "Cowards die many times before their deaths; The valiant never taste of death but once. Of all the wonders that I yet have heard, it seems to me most strange that men should fear; Seing that death, a necessary end, will come when it will come". May be this will lift your spirit up. For Akhibula it was not in your support, it was, he who laughs last laughs best.. his words flew up, his thoughts remained below; he did not know that words without thoughts never go to heaven.

For your information, thank you for informing us about the scandal, I did not like the icing you put on it. We shall not make any judgement till the court does.

Thank you!

Samora and Zuze,

I think u might have got the wrong end of the stick here.....feeling sorry for myself and putting myself down is just not what I'm about at all!!!! in fact, the complete opposite.....i absolutely love myself and what I have accomplished in life. i don't want people thinking i was trying to gain their sympathy or anything like that. I was trying to be sarcastic.....but obvisouly it didnt work out according to plan cos u didn't get the sarcasim.....hmm i think i should consider a career change....maybe stand up comedy is not for me after all!! anyway, i'm glad this hasn't turned out to be a slagging match between us, and we are able to express our views in an abuse-free manner.

oh, and Zuze, u are right, let the courts decide.....but that doesn't stop us from speculating, after all, we are only humans!!!

"In criminal court every defendant is innocent until proved guilty beyond all reasonable doubt."

The prayers are still innocent, yes.

The case is involving one Malawian lady, yes.

As a Maalwian I am concerned with what is happening to fellow Malawians. Good or bad I get concerned.
