Warrant of arrest for Muluzi??
Permalink Closed

Apparently a warrant of arrast has been issued for Muluzi. Don't quote me on anything but a very good source has just told me. I don't even know the specifics of the warrant but my source tells me that it has something to do with a building called KEZA that Muluzi and/or his son Zake, built.

If anyone can confirm it or hears anything about it please keep us posted.

Are you trying to tell us that he IS your uncle? Coz i don't remember anyone saying anything about it.

If you think that Muluzi didn't steal then i don't know where you've been for the last 10 years. They might not have enough evicence that he stole but believe you me he did!

The only thing left is to see whether he does get arrested or not. And if he does on what charges. And whether it will actually go all the way to court.

Let's just wait and see

Black jew, that mother ****er as you call him should be investigated. As a matter of fact the authorities are being very decent by following the normal channels - i would just pick him up and lock him up.

He was President men!!!! - and so what? with authority comes responsibility. That man wanted malawians tax money for himself, dont you guys think it was just embarrasing to have such a person as president? and dont you think it is even more embarrasing to act like he didnt steal anything and still let him try to remote control the current president? who is he to you?!

Njiba.

ARREST MULUZI

The Muluzis administration was made up of well known criminals amongst the government officials who were more dangerous as they were violent whenever disturbed. They were known characters to the ACB, DPP and the IG of Police and yet were left scout free. They were professionals in the true sense of that world, since they lived on crime and knew no any other trade. No one cared to implement the findings of any investigations, commissions of inquiry or talk about reforming some of such personalities and most, if not all, of them would have laughed at any such suggestion. During Muluzis government justice was denied, poverty was enforced, ignorance prevailed, and only one class was made to feel that society was an organized conspiracy to oppress, rob and degrade them.

Such was a government of the corrupt Muluzi in those days, and the rest of the country serious crime was an order of the day where criminals and dishonest UDF Young Democrats were readily accepted to do as they wished. Cases, of course occurred of civil servants charged with embezzling the governments money or stealing their employee’s salaries; assault charges were common enough from a top UDF official to a Young Democrat, but such cases were without interest to either law enforcer or prosecutor. Muluzis government was run with violence and aggression hence the Young Democrats got the impression that real power comes from terrorizing the people, not from laws. Muluzis UDF used a conscious policy in order to maintain power by securing an easy compliance and directly to pre-empt opposition.

Newspapers which tried to highlight such stories were battered either by the army or police departments and the Muluzi government had plenty to interest it without giving a thought to corruption and crime as a topic of discussion among the decent people. Press had taken up the discussion of crime and its undoubted increase, and the columns of these newspapers had filled with so many letters and articles on the subjects, containing all sorts and kinds of suggestions, fantastic and otherwise, for dealing with the menace.

Crime was being committed upon such a large scale and engineered by the UDF top brass. Muluzi made corruption to be so “natural” within his government. He built a society where power was naturally seen as a path to wealth and it was so common to offer gifts, especially to the rural poor, corruption was almost inescapable. Corruption is more serious for democracies because it weakens the culture of trust on which democracy is based. Malawi with Muluzi lacked political literacy as an essential component of the training of a democratic citizenry.

Muluzis government was so corrupt such that he has plunged the country into straining national debts that the present leadership shall be repaying to rich foreign creditors for past loans of questionable legitimacy. These debt repayments shall definitely divert money directly from basic human needs such as health care and education, and fundamentally undermine Bingus governments’ fight against the HIV/AIDS pandemic and his efforts to promote sustainable socio-economic development.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

The politician who steals from his government is worse than a thief. He is a fool. With all the grand opportunities around for the man with a political pull, there’s no excuse for stealing a tambala.

Some of us haven't got the time to sit down and read all those paragraphs and in the end all we do is just skim through the page and in so doing might miss some very important points.

My friend one thing you must know that muther**@@!!! whether he hasnt done nothing wrong he has to be accountable over the years he was the head of the nation. If you dont know his governace was very questionable if it wasnt he will tell us in the court of law. It is a pitty that you can pose such a question as 'DID HE STEAL YA MONEY' think again. Your type of thinking vests a lot of powers in politicians to exploit us and make us poorer. If he was the president what is so special with him, he was a public figure put in place by the people paid by the taxes from the people (you and me that is if you are working including your parents). There is a lot we can talk he used to divert funds from donors meant for the development to benefit the people he ruling including your agogo in the village.

whats Up BlackJew,

This is exactly what eetchef was talking about - now you think everyone is corrupt. The sad thing about all this is that even some of the corrupt people would have excused themselves from the responsibility of the office of president - akadachita mantha. Muluzi owes the Malawian people big time. He was given good pay for his service so there was no need for him to be thirsty really and to be honest had that guy stolen even 50 million kwacha people really wouldnt have bothered. Muluzi however has probably stolen a billion kwacha ( dude thats 10 million dollars - for an American definition of  billion) and that is just ridiculous considering some nephews, nieces and cousins have died of starvation. Can you imagine loosing your life not to a disease but just lack of nourishment?

WHY WARRANT OF ARREST ??leave him alone to chow his money wats wrong with you pipo.

His money? Dala!  mwatani kodi?
