CHRISTMAS + NEW YEAR FESTIVAL IS STRICTLY DON¡¦T DRINK AND DRIVE
My drive ban was more than three times the UK Drink Drive Limit (120 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath) when I was stopped after a night out with friends at 0245am last Sunday 19th December 2004 in Manchester . I admitted the charge when I appeared before the Magistrate Sheriff Court after spending a night in the cooler. "You have admitted a high reading of alcohol in your system while driving but I acknowledge it is a first offence and that you pled guilty at the earliest opportunity." I have been fined heavily and banned from driving for 20 months. Further excitement to driving or simply seating on the drivers wheel even in a stationary car would lead to severe charges and /or a possible prison sentence. I thank God for the arrest otherwise I was very close to every risk of someone being injured and/or property damaged. Well, Christmas + New Year is a time for celebrations and partying and come what may, it¡¦s an open secret that many of us shall be having an alcoholic drink of some sort and /or another (+ wizard) to kick start the festive season. We Drink-Drivers can and do cause horrific accidents and all too often cause the death of innocent friends (passengers) or bystanders. We don¡¦t become economical with the truth: Even small amounts of alcohol that could be within the legal limit would impair anybody¡¦s driving skills ¡Vdon¡¦t be caught out!!!. We don¡¦t be the cause of any Drink Driving accidents and spoil the fun worth sharing for all Malawiana.com affiliates. However, it¡¦s safer to make several alternative arrangements to get home afterwards. Think the Unthinkable and Don¡¦t just PARALYZE your foot on the gas pedal. MERRY CHRISTMAS And Happy NEW YEAR ¡K¡KBigfut
