Ladies this from the angle of a fellow woman. I hate it when men are the ones who write something about our dressing or just the way we look in the pic on this site. There are times when I see that some critics are real and need some improvements but sometimes I get angry that it seems like they are not appreciating our efforts, with all the pain we have to endure just to tuck in our bellies in them gucci or baby phat outfits or squeeze our normally size 10 feet in some size 8 prada pumps or blanhiks just ot try to fit in the same boat as your mkata girlfriends. I was recently looking at the latest pics (both birthday and engagement) and to face the fact ladies you really dressed so daaaammmn good, ooooh those boots were off the chain. But word of advice my sistas, as Mai ndi mai Mzake (let me be Gladys Balala for the time being) I know those clothes costs more bucks which means you can afford a decent make-up without stretching your pockets. A lot of my sistas in the pics (am not going to offend nobody here by mention thier names cos it's not about kunyozana but about kuthandizana), the make up used was as if from the funeral homes those used to embalm corpses. Most of them looked more white than Micheal Jackson and to make it worse it was only the face which was so ashen and yet the rest of the body had a good skin tone. I think it's not gonna hurt if next time we take a trip to the mall to stop at shops like JC Penney and get a facial make-over (it's free with purchase - like fashion fair) and get the right stuff which matches your skin tone, even Avon and Mary Kay offer these free facials.
Not to worry. Not all of us are against your efforts. I personally very much appreciate the tight fittings, even when they are a size or five too small. There's nothing wrong with affording us the view of your wares, whether real or fake, so long as it looks good, that's all I care about. Bring us more pictures! Ndine Wamaboza.
This is what the Grand Ayatollah has been preaching here all along. I am glad that one of the sisters has come out in the open to say our Malawian ladies have no make-up skills, whatsoever. No wonder they look like gule wankulu! No wonder brothers never declare who they are with until five munites before departure.
And ladies, please spare me! What’s the god-damn point of tucking in your bellies when you know pretty well it can unravel into a mega balloon?
The Grand Ayatollah is not only mad at Malawian women. The men can also be total idiots. I was enjoying my Glenlivet single malt drink with a sprinkle of Drambui when watched this young Malawian bombshell of a woman dig her Manola boot heels into this guys' foot. The guy was hurt and was unquestionably in great pain, But what did he say? " Thanks, I am okay! Dont worry about it."
Guys, you need to keep it real. Mpaka thanks? And why would you wear ma flip-flops to such a crowded dance place?

I, for one , am a big advocate of natural beauty as nature intended it. But that does not mean, I am against enhancing ones natural attributes in a discreet manner. Most the of the time I do not see the need for "covering" our faces with make up. I have not taken a glimpse at the above mentionned pictures, but I believe that we Malawian wowen are beautiful just the way God created us. Now in a certain troubled african country, when people talk about a beaufiful person they have to define whether it is with/without makeup, bleach etc... Let us not be prisoners of fashion.
men i blame it on you. you are not straight up honest with your women. unless your woman os really stubborn but can you stand walking around with someone who's face is so made up she looks a zombie and you don't say a thing? okey, i know to some extent it's the owners responsibility to make sure you look good, but those around you play a role as well, they tell you **** don't look good you should listen, critically of course cos we all know people sometimes just hate. But i wish the men were more honest to tell their ladies how wotever looks like. it will sure minimise some of the embarrasing stuff we gotta lay our eyes on.:

I definately agree with you that beauty should be natural hence a better definition of a beautiful woman would one who doesnt have layers of make up on the face. Just think hard the word COSMETIC- Kukongolesa basi it means ugly people can use make up to look as if they are beautiful or they can abuse it to look more uglier HA HA HA. But the point is make up should not be used in such a way where by you say kuti eeh zimadula izi ku Malawi now I have found them ndiye dressing table kuchita kudzadza or I have been seeing the adverts of these products in ebony magazine now I will lay my hands on them and they will know me. Zinazi mmalo moti muwoneke kuti mwayamba kukongolo chipitire ku States mukunyasanso. Be real and remain yourself
You all need to stop tripping. Fake nose, fake nails, fake boobs, fake hair, push-up bra, shape enhancing underwear, lipstick, eyeliner, blush, foundation - it's all good, so long as it's done well. More power to you Malawian women. Tipaseni ny*#le.
What's the big deal here? I see nothing wrong in enhancing breasts, fake nails, lipstick, eyeliner, foundation and all that goes with it as long as the end result is a bomb!!!! Ladies, if applying lipstick makes you feel good then hey!!! What's to stop you? None can please everybody so love yourself first before you love him/her!!!! Just be careful as Mai ndi Mzake has stated.
Word of concern, some cremes we use have substances that completely change our skin and the funny thing is we tend to have very light/fair faces but the neck and the rest of the body is dark . I believe you get what am getting at. I believe changing one's skin colour has to be for the right reasons and has to apply to the whole body. Think of Michael Jackson.
The big deal is that it puts silly ideas in men and women ( not mention our younger bros and sis) that are otherwise o.k. It just gives people inferiority complexes.I can understand that a lady who is having trouble fitting in a DD bra size, would want a breast reduction because her generous chest is preventing her from playing hockey correctly or is giving her a backpain. What I find absurd is the idea of putting one's life unnecessarily at risk in the name of beauty. These makeovers are not a 100% guaranteed. Some people have died from it. Bleaching the entire body (to match the face), hello! Do people know that some of these cremes or tablets used are carcinogenic. It is bad enough that we have to worry about the effect of UV(thanks to the damage of the ozone layer), now we have to deal with skin cancer. I say bravo to countries like Tanzania who are trying to put a stop to some of these nonsense. If you want to put fake nails, fake hair, fake moles, if it is done in a tastefull manner, discreet and does look natural, I say amen to you. There is no permanet damage to your body. I am against the direction where we are heading, where people tend to think that natural is ugly. I mean some sisters can not face anyone without their faces on,weaves etc...What kind of world is it, where every one and their sister look like they are stricken with vitiligo or ressemble a certain celebrity. We all come in all size, shapes and color that's what makes us human and we can be beautiful a la naturel.
