Malawi indepence celebrations in the USA for 2005, is it going to be DC, St Louis, South Bend, Atlanta or where? I need to know well in advance because I dont want to be left out this time. Maybe the respective cities should come up with their proposals and let us have some polls.

Was just reading up the archives and this kind of coincided with the topic. Thought this is hilarious. Whatever happened to the Academic Bouncer. Would love to see more postings from him.

Indiana Party Organizers Cry Pyoo!

Congratulations and thanks to all Malawians who decided to join our friends in Indiana for the July 6 Celebrations. Long live freedom and thanks to all our fathers who faught for this just cause.

I would also like to thank the Organizers of the party for putting the party and celebrations together even though the turn out was not as expected especially with the lies surrounding the musicians from Malawi. In talking with one of the Organizers, I have learn't that they failed to raise enough profits to share amicably and rumour has it that one of the organizers pocketed most of the profits from the party leaving fellow organizers in the cold. One Organizer who wanted to remain anonymous is very upset that the party did not generate enough profits like the ones before. He said that he had promised his high maintenance girlfriend that he was going to use anticipated hefty profits from the Party as a down payment on on a BMW X5 and now he is left in the cold because the poor patronage.

Well, I wish this poor guy well as he is trying to source other ways to comfort his distressed girlfriend. As for everyone else, life still goes on in Indiana. In speaking with a few patrons, it seems like they had a good time and they believe that they got their monies worth this time around. Good job Organizers. Sometimes it's good to Party without anyone scheming your pockets. For old time sake, lets party like Malawians used to.
