The credibility of Nyasatimes can be a bit shaky at times. Aren't they the ones who broke the story of the first lady's death a full month before it actually happened? I wouldn't rule the story out though: experience has taught me that people, especially those connected with MW's political 'elite' are capable of doing the strangest of things.

I think there was some exchange of words but the slapping hmmm! I doubt that part. Maybe the children are worried that the condolence money may end up being used for DPP activities.

It might not be true but also the Govt spokesperson Patricia Kaliati confirmed the incident saying it was normal. Was she trying to mean 'abnormal' ?

I doubt if these people really spoke to Kaliati, she is not a woman of one word like it is being reported here. I am sure she swore at the Nyasa Times reporter.
