Amikhe ali osangalala ndi ruling imeneyi. All MPs who ere deemed to have crossed the floor shoud seek fresh mandate from the electrolate! Osamangosintha zipani ngati mwado! The court has upheld the right to appeal though, this will make the whole process lengthy.

Asatinamize kuti it is a coslty exercise since I'm sure it will cost less than the recent funeral.

Am also very happy with the ruling, since i don't trust these politicians, as i said earlier on katangale ndi amene avute chifukwa amene anabela nthawi ya UDF ndi omwewa what will hold them from doing so this time around? To cap it all i don't think Bingu will seek another interpretation nde akufuna chani? he was simply looking for a second thought poti ndale lets wait and see.
Its a litmus test for Bingu and co.

Search me guys! i aint happy with the ruling coz of one factor or rather a clause which the learned judges have injected in. I mean it sounded so nice in the first place only to be disappointed with the judges summing up by saying the ruling will not affect the ministers since the president has the prelogative of appointing a cabinet ministers from whatsover quarters including you and me.

As such, the guys (ministers) we wanted kicked out will remain. It also explains why the cabinet was bloated that high. It was one way of protecting the number of guys not to be faced by the seriousness of section 65 in the DPP. This also explains that certain court cases are discussed at high level before the actual ruling date. The president's action of late has been that of premadited moves including the recent action whereby they decided to wait up to 29th June before the commencement of budget sitting in the name of mourning the first lady. They want to do some more political calculations before the meet.

Now who faces section 65? ti will be felt largely by the guys in the opposition in the likes of BJ and the rest of the gangs who were independent MPs, but later defected to the UDF.

Parliamentary chamber at president Mutharika's official residence in Lilongwe, New state house is under lock, and the keys are in the custody of the president himself who is currently shunting between Zomba and Blantyre.
The president refused to release the keys to the chambers when the speaker asked for them. He says the keys will only be released on June 28 when the month-long mourning period is over.yawn

This means that the Budget session will resume on June 29 and on that same day the Finance Minister, Goodall Gondwe is expected to present the 2007/2008 national budget.confused  cry

Something fishy somewhere, somehowhmm

You don't mean to say that the only thing that's keeping Malawi's legislature from convening is a missing bunch of keys?

Now DPP is on the offensive. They are busy coming up with thier 'own list of defectors'. I can assure you guys, it will be the whole UDF lot. The talking computer bealives UDF crossed the floor by allighning themselves with opposition instead of being the rulling party!! Some reasoning here.

Dpp will only shoot its foot, the only way is to accept the section and start thinking how to govern with such a crisis. If I was Bingu I would go straight to polls and get a real command which will see him living in peace before heart attack takes him up.The fight is now over for him exept a few mps.

Actually is DPP a ruling party?. I think it was not yet born in 2004. What about the UDF who put it in the opposition? what are the records indicating at NEC on 2004 General Elections. Can we revisit our constitution on these matters to come up with the solutions. on members of parliament its clear, what about the president, veep and others on the issue of joining other parties or starting your own party while sitting as a Malawi President.
