I find it amazing that we have our history written in English and other languages and are yet to have proper chichewa on it. I tried to look up the history of Mw in our vernacular but drew a blank. Even the Chewa on the side isnt as we speak it. Thank God there's some Tumbuka translation as well but then that also leaves alot to be desired. Imagine we have a complete french translation but no proper chewa!!!! Makes me wonder why they've included the chewa option when it's not available. Do we really say NYIMBO YA NDZIKA?? Maybe its me but whoever was commissioned to translate whatever could have done a better job.
Where did u find this? I was ashamed last time i was searching for the national anthem and it was listed as a traditional MALAYSIAN fork role song i even posted it on this forum. Pliz lets trace the owners of these blogs and rectify the problems/mistranslations coz there are some children who are born outside the country and hear they are from Malawi and they look it up on the net they will think its where Captain Jack Sparrow found the natives who eat their kings and speak gibberish am not a chewa but this isn't the way i have heard the words pronounced.

You can find this by going on yahoo search and typing malawi or by going on to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malawi. At least they've put the original version done by the late Mr M Sauka.
