JRC -BRING IN SOME AWARDS

Not trying to be negative but what purpose would these serve?
Awards are meant to stimulate people after being recognised for a job well done if this was a forum for a specific purpose that its outcome would directly benefit others it was going to be worth it but we all have these funny names and hide behind them, my take is out with the awards straight into the recycle bin.

Yes i think this forum benefits alot of people including myself though i do hide behind a computer, I have learnt quite alot stuff on this forum and i feel is worthy noting.

bnk444 I second your motion. This is just an honour to someone who has done well, its not like there will be any monetary gain.

It will be nice to have some members on the forum recognised for their efforts. I am not good at writing but through my daily reading of your contributions I hope I will improve. But others do it so well and I admire them.

bnk444 and mulomwe, I dont agree with you guys. Those awards will not benefit this forum in anyway. While it is true that a lot of people enjoy going through this forum, that is not a guarantee to bring awards.
The awards alone will bring enermity among members. Mukuiwala momwe anthu akumatukwanirana pa forum pano? People will say "no, Tango does not fit for such an awards, it could have been better you can give it to say Mulomwe or bnk444." Others will say, "no, they do not fit either."

Things are good enough the way they are now.

No Tango i thought members will vote and the best will get the awards ,its not like me imposing on the wishes of others you will vote basing on your conscious and no one will have a final say except the members all together in that way there will be no quesition of enemity.Surely if i recognise your contribution as the best and mulomwe has reservations about it , then itwill be up to members to decide all together ,if i win the let democracy prevail even if you do not agree with me.

There are gurus and senior member on this forum koma they do recognise the newbies as well. They are not selfish.

If you have a problem with award once given i suggest you will have to reveal the real you so as to make yourself proud otherwise i think some of the members do agree with the idea
of having the awards being given . Lets what others have to say.

sindikumvetsa kuti pali vuto lina liilonse popereka ma awards kwa ma members. people should know that members of the forum make some efforts to contribute on this forum. this should not be taken for granted. we have witnessed several postings with good or even better arguments posted. in one way i learned some thing. am wondering why some members think there is no need to appreciate that. lets give credit to all men and women,boys and girls plus morons, homosexuals, lesbians, rapists, criminals, terrorists, herbalists, witches and wizards, bottle collectors, ootcha kanyenya, ogulitsa mango, ndi ena otero omwe anapangapo post or contribute pano pa malawiana and we will lose nothing.

Are you serious rawn? Can you give credit to a rapist, a criminal or a terrorist? Have you ever seen a criminal or a terrorist on duty? You may wonder why the Almighty created them. They kill without mercy. You have missed the point pokhapo ayse. Rapist cannot be given credit, they must be condemned.

I have gone through the list of guys who have contributed to this issue and it is only three or four of members that are against this idea , so i do not agree with your statement to say most people on this forum disagree with my proposal otherwise i if you say you are speaking on their behalf i guess.

Anthu alipano including Amikhe himself are operating under aliases, who in the world will be collecting the award? If you want awards here then every body should be using their real names which ifi may say, is practically impossible.

Awards don't have to be physical. It's the recognition that matters. Here that's easily achieveable e.g. with an 'award winner' caption under the individuals membership status for a certain length of time. I don't have anything against the idea.

If you go back to the story we said that this is just a recognition PALIBE CHOLANDIRA. For example Category 1. MOST ANNOYING WRITER - AMIKHE

You will be notified of your success and that is all. These awards will be conducted every year and I can assue you it will be fun.

Hey I did not miss any point my friend as you know already we all hide behind the aliases which we use as our ID on Malawiana. And we are all different hence we might have such characters on Malawiana who hide behind these aliases. I hope i have made myself clear. Credits may be given to these ID but you will never know who this person is.

Mulomwe,
I maintain that it is practically impossible to have awards on this forum because of the fact that we do not know who is who. For example we might have the impression that Abre (i just missed him 'cause i joined just after he left) has actually left this forum but in reality he maybe here under two or more aliases.

There is no accountability!!
